The forty-two year old with a serious attitude, Sam is a hard-working person. Getting back from work, from day to night running a store that he owns and manages. With his business style of clothes, long shirt, long pants, and his hair combed to the side. Having light body gestures, light hand gestures, having gap between questions, and stuttering certain words. He taps his feet when ever he is nervous or doesnt know what do say. In a serious voice with a strong and straight body position. The hardwood floor, sitting on the dinner table across from each other, with the dinner table light on.

I was 3 years old when the 9/11 attacks happened. At the time, I was too young to remember or to understand what was going on. When I became old enough to know what happened, I got scared because I thought that there could be another terrorist attack any day. I think that security should be a little better at checking people at airports considering the hijackers easily snuck weapons past them. All in all, I feel bad for all the families who lost loved ones. 9/11 was a tragic day in…

Hearing the event from the perspective of a person who wasn’t directly affected or near the crash introduces a whole new type of experience. People, who like my parents, only received notice of the crash because of a family member they had no idea was in any kind of danger. My parents, at the time, weren’t aware of the importance of the Twin Towers or this possibility of a new worry of terrorism. They were able to be reassured simply by the fact that every loved one in the U.S then was okay. This particular perspective added to my knowledge of the personal experiences of the event, how the impact of the event can immediately increase because of a loved one being involved. Another detail from the interview that added to my knowledge was my mom…

My mother still had not said one word to neither my sister nor I since we walked in the door. She was on the phone with one of our family friends urging her to go pick her kids up from school early (3- transactional communication, Haun 3). At the same time she was doing this she was e-mailing (4-interactional communication, Haun 3) my father who was out of town on business telling him to get a later flight home. When she finally got off of the phone we asked her what happened. As soon as we said those words we were interrupted by a rumbling noise and the reporter himself being startled (5-noise, Haun 4). The noise and what had startled the reporter shocked me also. One of the tall buildings that was on fire had suddenly fallen to the ground. My mind was all of a sudden taking a lot longer than usual to decode (6, Haun 7) simple messages. I was too young to really know what the world trade center was but what I did know was that terrorists had killed a lot of innocent Americans.…

It was unusually cold on this morning of September 11th, 2001, and my alarm had just went off. The odd but needed 5 am. was when I woke up, because my flight was going to leave around 8:30 and I needed to be there on time. The reason I was flying to San Francisco was I was having a family reunion with my dad, my step-mom, and my step-brothers. So, I jumped in the shower quickly with joy and excitement. I hadn't seen my family in forever since I had gotten a job as the assistant of the manager in Ralph Lauren Headquarters. I had just gotten my hair dried as I heard my phone ring. It was dad, making sure that I was on my way. I talked to him for a few minutes and then hung up. I glanced at the clock and realized…

I don’t think any American can forget where they were when 9/11 happened. I was going into my history class when I learned about it. My teacher had the T.V. on even though the administration asked the teachers to turn the TV’s off. We watched it and discussed what was going on for the entire hour and a half that we were in the class. My teacher was very emotional and crying and so were some of the students. Some of the students were in shock and others were oblivious to what this meant for our country. I was emotional myself. This was such a tragic event and I didn’t think it would be an event that would affect my life the way that it did. I think I was too young at the time to truly understand the seriousness that would come out of the attacks of 9/11. This tragic event changed America in so many ways.…

When I hear the date "9/11" I rapidly drown in the saddest kind of nostalgic thoughts and emotions. Although many years have gone by since the devastating events of 9/11, its memory and the feelings it evokes remains immortal. In retrospect, I was five years old during the time of the attacks and I wasn't even living in the United States. Nevertheless, as I was too young to fully understand the magnitude of the attacks, seeing how an event that took place thousands of miles away from me had the ability to bring shock and terror to the people around me, I knew that something terrible had happened. Consequently, I saw some of the consequences of the attacks affecting the world around me. Primarily, I started seeing the the growth of an enormous…

and Pennsylvania. Al-Qaeda hijacked four airliners and carried out suicide attacks against targets in the United States. Two of the planes were flown into the towers of the World Trade Center. A third plane hit the Pentagon and the fourth plane crashed in a field. Over 3,000 people were killed during the attacks in New York City and Washington, D.C., including more than 400 police officers and firefighters. The day this happened the United States was turned upside down. This terrorist attack not only affected the ones that was there, but the families, friends and people watching from home. The news also played phone calls that had been made to 911 from the victims that were trapped inside the burning buildings. Praying for them to send…
