It was my last year there. I was having a lot of fun with my friends and family. It was almost thanksgiving break, it was November 14 and it was a great start for the day. My dad dropped me off and then picked me up when I got out of school. After school, we were going to Rita’s Italian Ice in Cathedral City. That never happened because we got a phone call saying we had to go to the police station in city hall , so we did and that’s when a police officer took me aside and said my dad would be back soon. I wasn’t sure what was going on, but I had a feeling my dad wasn’t going to come back to the lobby. I didn’t have a chance to hug him, they just handcuffed him in front of me. I’m really shy so I was scared to sit next to total strangers, there was one seat left. There were three girls and I knew one of them from middle school. It was really awkward for about a week, then we all started talking to much. We all became amazing friends. There names are Jessica, Brooke, and Claire then another girl started talking to us, Nadia. We had so much fun at school, so we decided to hang out somewhere out of school. We were gonna go to a place called “Get Air” it’s a trampoline park. Claire and I were gonna take the bus , we were going to meet Jessica and Nadia there. Sadly Brooke wasn’t able to go . We still had so much fun there, even though we got in trouble a lot for doing flips and running in areas where there were little kids. We all had a feeling of a great time making eachother laugh with dumb jokes, laughing at each other for getting injured, and we were happy seeing each other happy. It’s like the song from Black Eyed Peas said “ I Gotta
