In my family, since neither of my parents graduated high school, at times money is hard to come by. My dad owns his own painting/construction business and my mom is currently unemployed as my grandfather has to have round the clock care after my grandmother died because he has several psychological and physical issues from his time in the Vietnam War and therefore cannot be alone by himself. The thought of how to pay for putting one child through college terrified my parents and still does terrify them as any extra income we receive goes towards making our house more livable.
