I Grew Up Here I’ve lived in a lot of places since I was born. My first home that I can remember is the red house. I don’t know where it was, but I called it the red house. The red house had a red roof, it was one story, and I had an awesome room. I had a large bed, and it had a Disney princess bed comforter, a canopy, and was the best trampoline I ever had. The kitchen was like a hallway, it was narrow and long. My memory of the red house is very vague. I remember the day the movers came. They dismantled my princess bed. We packed our bags and moved to the country of Costa Rica. There, there was a tile floor, and a nice kitchen. I shared a room with my brother. I remember that I spent a lot of time in the backyard. My Favorite Teacher
Over the years I’ve had a lot of teachers. My favorite teacher that I’ve had is Ms. Hannafee. Ms. Hannafee was the science teacher at my Elementary School, Donlon Elementary. All grades have Ms. Hannafee, so I had her for a total of five years.
It is because of Ms. Hannafee that I have an interest in science. I remember the science textbooks always being boring, but once a week we would go to the science lab. In science, we would participate in a lab.
One of my favorite labs was the owl pellet dissection. Owl pellets are owl throw up. In owl pellets you can find the bones of animals the owl consumed. In this lab we were to take out the bones we found in the pellet and construct the animal we found inside. Most people, like me, had a sort of rodent, but some people found birds in their pellet.
Another one of my favorite things we did in science was the Sharpie tie dye lab in fifth grade. We did this lab on one of the last few days of elementary school. In this lab (it’s not really a lab) we brought cotton white T-shirts and drew pictures in sharpey and sprayed rubbing alcohol to make them blur (it looked really
