Personal Narrative: Jason Masks
One night I was going home, and when I heard a loud noise, I stepped away from the door. I went around the back door, and when I shut the door behind me, I walked to the table to eat. But when I turned around, my dad had a Jason mask saying, “Rah!” I said, “ahh!” When he scared me, I ran up stairs fast and jumped in the bed . I wondered what made him wear a Jason mask? I think he likes Jason.
After that I woke up early in the morning . The sun was shining on the house. Suddenly a knock pounded on the door. I open the door, and it was Mom . My mom spent the night over at my Aunt Penny's house. It was night, and I already had my costume. When I walked in the haunted house, there were people that were really scary. And there

My mom came up the stairs to see me in my neighbors arms, my neighbor standing outside the screen door. She had said she thought about calling the cops but luckily she didn't. My mom didn’t even know I had left my room because I had been napping. She was really scared that something like that would happen again but the outcome could be different if nobody we knew would be outside, so she bought a security system so if it were to happen again she would know.…

A man named Jason Metiva once told me, “A hero is an ordinary person with extraordinary qualities.” It was the summer of 2011, my best friend and I were in the backseat of her mom’s Honda Ridgeline dancing to the Top 100 Country Songs of the Year. My best friend, Lauren had invited me on a day trip up to Jerome. The drive was going to be a long three or four hours, so we drove to McDonald’s for breakfast and headed North at about 6 A.M.…

It was almost halloween, Just a few days away back in 2015, when we decided to go to the haunted railroad. Like any other person would do around halloween to pay a ridiculous amount for people to scare you when you can do it for free, buts that’s not the point. It was my mom, dad, two family friends; Ben, Joe, and of course I was there too. Well, my aunt Lucy and her partner Laura were supposed to go but they were too scared to go, so they just stood in the car and waited for us to come out.…

My mouth, it was gone. Tears escaped and ran down my face as the lights started flickering until they turned off completely. It was dark and it all felt so real. I closed my eyes and I held them shut for what seemed like an eternity. That was the end of my nightmare; I woke up in my room, hoping to never dream of that…

It was still in its nondestroyed state. I was with my friends from night one plus my friend's mother that I mentioned earlier as well, and my own parents. I walked into the building and I saw that room with a locked door that has the light on at all times. I was told to never go inside of that room. They told me that it was not for me to go into. I was going on vacation to this house for some reason so I had to unpack my bag in a bedroom. The house was very old so I ignored any movement that I heard I put my things on the bed and I was very cold. My mom called out for me to go to the main room. I went out there and noticed that people were crucified, hanged, torn in half, and burned. The door with a mysterious light was open and the girl was standing in front of it. I was afraid not because of the bodies but because the door was open. The girl motioned for me to come to her and I was unable to resist walking to her. As I got closer she looked more disfigured and evil. Her eyes were the biggest part that I remember. They were black with light pupils. She had claws like in my earlier dreams and she had a scream that paralyzed me. She ran at me and right as she was about to hit me I saw every event that I have that I have done to help or hinder people in real life. This felt like it went on forever and then I woke up screaming and in a cold sweat. My mother was trying to wake me up for ten minutes because of my screams. I knew that something was wrong at this…

The person I am choosing to describe is my best friend, Matt Wotring. We first started talking near the end of July of last year, but didn’t really become friends until we hung out at a mutual friend’s birthday party at the beginning of October. Over the course of the past year, he and I have continued to grow closer and spend as much time together as possible. He has one of those charismatic personalities that is hard to find in the present world. He is very close with all of his family – and believe me, he has a lot of family living nearby – and is probably closer with his cousins than he is with any of his friends. He is currently a senior a Calvary Christian Academy and plans on continuing his education at Frostburg State University, majoring…

She got up, took me to the bathroom and walked me back to bed. We looked under my bed and we saw no monsters there. My mom said, see, no monsters here, and then she put me to…

Jason Stratum known as my glump name, returning late at night from my business trip to my abode as abruptly my car breaks, with the bungle of its breaks which were already at stake since the cars folktale. “Grunts” I stretched my muscles and hummed in an impeccable tone “I am not buying this one on me, it’s all my wives botch for not getting it furbished up even though I told her I wouldn’t be having enough time to do it by myself because of the strenuous demand from my superiors”.…

When I got closer to the house I looked up to the window and saw a ghostly girl staring back at me, I got up to the door at last it felt like I walked the green mile but I was finally there and I knocked on the big brown oak door and waited… Finally a very old small woman came and opened the door for me, my throat dried up. She had a big mole on her nose and she reminded me of a witch but she had a very loud croaking voice she told me ‘’ Come in Miss Havisham will be with you in one moment’’. I went into a waiting room in front of a very old, dusty, oak staircase I was drawn to this candle lit room that I could just about see into through a crack in the ancient door as I walked a little closer the nerves went away and I found myself gliding towards the door then Miss Havisham appeared on top…

I hide, but not in the shadows, I hide behind a mask. This is me about to divulge my story, so please read on reader. I believe that finding true freedom a person’s mask will fall off. I always told myself as a kid to keep the mask on or else I might get hurt. I do not really know where this type of thinking came from. The mask only came off when I was in the safety of my own room. For years, I stay behind my fake face waiting and watching the world in silence until the day I could take the mask off in public. I realize that taking off my mask was a risk, but it is worth seeing the world and not feeling the need to hide. That day finally came, when the sun is shinning on my back, the wind whipping through my hair and the mask fell off my face.…
