Personal Narrative: Mr. Kucharik As A Freshman In High School
Four years of your life are dedicated to high school, and some may say it's the best four years of your life, or the worst four years of your life. Now, for some people, high school never ends, and those people are teachers. Teachers always get the worst end of the stick, they have to deal with grouchy teenagers, irresponsible teenagers, but the worst of all are freshman. As a senior in high school, freshman affect me in way that others may not understand. As a former student of Scott Community High School, having Mr. Kucharik as my English teacher is the way freshman affect me. Mr. Kucharik strongly dislikes freshman, for they are immature, rude, and mostly annoying. Although, he is an English IV and Comp teacher, he still has to face freshman. …show more content…
I have Mr. Kucharik fifth hour, which means lunch time. Therefore, that means Mrs. Geist, the freshman English teacher, also has lunch at the same time. Ironically, this means freshman during our lunch shift. Strangely enough, one day, Mr. Kucharik joins us for lunch, and a freshman does something so eruptly disgusting. For example, a freshman put his hands in his pants to pull his wedgie out, pulled out his hand, smelled it, and continued to eat. Unfortunately, Mr. Kucharik had to witness all of this, and had to bring the story back to the classroom. Presumably, this problem is something that needs to be fixed. As a senior in high school, I shouldn't have to be dealing with these freshman. On the other hand, Mr. Kucharik has been a senior three times, and he for sure doesn't deserve to be dealing with freshman. With this list of problems, I have figured out ways to better the life for Mr. Kucharik, the senior class, and the freshman. First and foremost, the first problem is having the freshman hallway by Mr. Kuchariks classroom. Senior hallway runs east and west just south of Mr. Kucharik’s classroom. My solution to this problem would be to completely rearrange classroom setups. By this, I mean to have the sophomores and freshman upstairs, and the juniors and seniors downstairs. For this switch to happen, some of the downstairs teachers that teach freshman and sophomores would have to move …show more content…
For example, we have Mr. Turner, Mrs. Wasinger, Mr. Dirks, Mrs. Aguilera, and Mr. Holt. The solution to this problem would be move them all to the current sophomore hallway. So, Mrs. Hess’ classroom would change to Mr. Turners, Mrs. Downing’s classroom would change into Mr. Dirks, Mr. Todd’s classroom would change into Mrs. Aguileras, and Mrs. Wasinger will stay in the same classroom. As of Mr. Holt, he’ll unfortunately stay in his classroom, but I have a solution for this. Although, Mr. Holt teaches freshman, he is at the end of the hallway. Which means the north stairway or the hallway that leads to the office/commons area will be the only way to access Mr. Holts classroom. If an under class men is found breaking these regulations, they’ll get ISS for the rest of the day. With this move, there are two extra classrooms open. With these two classrooms open, Mrs. Neri would move downstairs, as well as Mrs. Hess. With this being said, study hall will only be available for Juniors and Seniors, and Mrs. Neri will only teach juniors and seniors. As of now, Mrs. Neri doesn't teach freshman, so only the current sophomores would be

This classroom has three teachers; a lead teacher, an assistant teacher and a teacher aide that work together to teach a classroom of fourteen children. The ratio of children for one teacher is eight. Having the classroom organized and ready with age appropriate material before children come in for the day helps in keeping the children engaged and learning at the same time which in turn helps with the behavior issues. That will in turn provide a more positive learning environment for…

The students tend to be wild during the math block. The constant misbehavior is talking instead of working or doing work or others. Seating arrangements will fix the talking out of turn. However, I also plan to have a discussion with students about why we need to work first then talk. The other issue is going to be more difficult to solve. I am going to try redirecting this upcoming week when it occurs.…

I would also show my students that I care about them and am concerned with their learning by the activities and group work that I assign. I want them to get familiar with one another and become familiar with different cultures and traditions. I believe even by the way I have their desks arranged in the classroom will contribute to their getting along with one another. I believe that by grouping the desks together, while this may create more opportunities for distractions or misbehaviors, if I was in a classroom with five different cultures and languages, I would go ahead and do this for the better cause, which is for the…

Schools are all built according to what the thinking was at the time of it being built. Some schools were built with open plan classrooms. This may cause problems with noise. If it is possible sliding doors should be installed and used to patrician the classroom off. If this isn 't possible different areas of the classroom can be used for different activities. For example when using the interactive white board the pupils could gather round it on the floor. When explaining a lesson pupils could sit round the teacher then go to their desks and do the work. Some schools…

There are four staff who are working with Parker: one class teacher and three teacher aides. The class teacher had taught Parker previously when he was a new entrant in a smaller primary school. The teachers described Parker as a “lovely child” as he engages well in his learning when he followed the class routine. However, the teachers said that it is always difficult for Parker to get to class in the first place. This occurs when Ana arrives at school and two teachers would come to get Parker out of the car using the i-pad or things he enjoys like a rugby ball. Parker would sometimes independently come out of the car or Ana would carry him out of the car. Parker would sit on the ground screaming and spitting on the teachers. The teachers said that they would stand away until he calms down as he stops spitting and covers his face.…
