Back when I was in high school I took all four years of an English literature course because it was just a required course for me take in order for me to graduate. My high teachers always tell me that I will be doing a bunch of reading and writing when I go off to college. I was always a math and science person. I came from a family background when they deal with numbers and logical reasoning. English was not my worst subject but it is not enough for me to care for the subject.
In my English Literature course in my junior and senior year in high school I always end up earning a B average in this course and In my math courses I always maintain an A average. It is very important to read and analyze things in reality. If anybody is interested in the medical field they need to comprehend about what is going on with the patient. In the autobiography The Joy of Reading and writing by Sherman Alexie he is passionate about reading and writing. He inspired me about why reading is important in life. Towards the end of the story he said he wants to be a pediatrician and if you to be in that field you need to a lot of comprehending.
