My English classes throughout ninth grade were pretty easy it was mostly just writing essays about what we are reading, such as lord of the flies and mythology but then as I started to get into the higher grades I realized that the papers were starting to get a little more complex. Sophomore year I remember learning about all of the different devices such as logos, pathos, and ethos. This year, in particular, I was having to watch out for everything that I was doing such as punctuation, the setup of my sentences, using rhetorical devices, and the hardest one for me, making sure all of my citation were perfect. This year was somewhat difficult for these exact reasons. Rhetorical devices were also difficult because I had to memorize a lot of them and learn how to put them in my essays and where to put them. I soon got the hang of it though wh8ike I was going into English 111, junior year. English 111 was most likely one of the hardest English’s I had to take due to all of the papers we had to write but it was also one of the most rewarding because I got to learn how to v write these papers effectively, such as the documented argument paper and the 110 and the 111 exit exams. After entering high school I realized that I was not the best at English and I will still make plenty of mistakes before I do any paper right but go through these different
