Personal Narrative: My Phone Broken
Thud! I hear my phone hit the ground, it is face down and I don’t know what happened. The thought in your head “is my phone broken or not?” You look around and try to figure out who dropped and/or messed your phone when you weren’t looking. I go to my phone and pick it up, but it’s broken! I don't know what to do, should I tell an adult, or should I ask who did it? It was a normal Wednesday during school and 6th hour just got over. I head to my compact math class, and then sat down at my desk next to Thomas Gansner and set my iPhone 5C on the desk. Mrs. Lindenmeyer was teaching the lesson and all of a sudden Thomas knocked my phone off the desk. I said “What the heck! Why did you do that?” Thomas said, “It was supposed to be hilarious.” …show more content…
So I was stuck with my parents old ragged Samsung Galaxy S3. The next week we went to Colorado for a family vacation to Keystone Colorado. We went skiing for 6 hours straight and my whole family was tired. When we returned to the condo we ate lunch and the smell of hamburgers and frijoles was in the air. When we were about to leave I had to go to the restroom. “SPLASH!” it heard as my phone dropped in the toilet. I was thinking what will my parents reaction would be this time. My parents ended up madder at me this time but I promised if I got a new phone I would be more responsible. It was our last day and we were headed to the airport. I was very disappointed that I didn’t have my phone for the plane ride home. It was a long drive there and it felt like forever. For some reason my dad pulled off the interstate and pulled into a Verizon Wireless parking lot. My dad went inside and was in there for half an hour. I asked my mom “What are we doing here?”
She replied, “You’ll see.” I thought we were going to miss our flight. Finally my dad came out with a brand new iPhone 6! I was so happy and excited that my dad was so generous, and got me a brand new

The next day, something even more shocking and kind of terrifying thing happened. And this happened with my music teacher, Mrs. Bailing. During music period, I usually go on my phone because I am a saxophone player, and saxophones don’t play a lot in band, so I usually go on my phone, and play games. Today, however, Mrs. Bailing caught me playing games on my phone during band. So she snatched my phone from my hand and looked through my Safari history, and all my private chats. I got very angry, so I snatched my phone back from her, and I put it in my pocket. She got furious and sent me to the office.…

Most of my friends’ parents would say: “ She is way to young for that. My kid is not getting a phone till she enters high school.” My parents, on the other hand, disregarded what other parents had said and thought it was a great idea and an opportunity for me to earn their trust. It was also an opportunity for me to show responsibility. My Mom and Dad told me a few dozen times, “This is a huge responsibility to have your own cell phone.” Having a phone at such a young age along with more rules that I was not sure I was ready for, such as: keep your phone on loud at all times, make sure you answer our calls the first time we call, be sure to charge your phone every night, and lastly do not lose it. My parents also told me: “If you break any of the rules that we gave you, me or your dad will take your cell phone away for a week.” My worse fear was that I would forget to charge my phone or even worse, miss a call from my parents. Thankfully, I never broke any of the rules that they gave me so I never had my phone taken away. Since I did not break the rules. I was soon rewarded with another new phone. It was the Motorola Razor. It was pink, of course, my favorite color and it was the “it” phone at the time. I loved that phone! Two years went by and soon I was rewarded with a brand new white iPhone for Christmas. With it came a phone case and a note. The note said: “Always keep this case on the phone at all times. If I see it with out a case I will take it from you and you will not get it back for 2 months.” I thought that was an easy rule to follow since the case was so cute I would not want to take it off but, all my friends soon got iPhone 4s and they did not have cases on them and I liked the way their phones looked, so I took my case off. When I got home from school, however, I would immediately put the case back…

I had to rush to the San Bernardino Valley College library to print out my research paper. Then I was late to my pharmacology class. My front loader Maytag washer machine just decided to break down on me early in the morning. I was on my second load of dark clothes, when I tried to turn the washer machine on. The machine kept saying error. I had 5 other loads to wash and I had asked my mother-in-law, if I could go wash at her house. My mother-in-law was washing and I had to wait until she was done. I didn't get home til 9P.M. and still had to do my trigonometry homework. Next, inanimate objects have their way of getting lost. My direct tv control remote always ends up in weird places. Sundays are game day. It was the first football game of the season and my favorite team Dallas Cowboys were playing at 1:00P.M. It was 15 minutes til the game and the televisions was on the Disney junior channel. I couldn’t find the remote control. Therefore, I had to download the peel remote on my phone in order to change the channel. I notice there was something on the top of my Honda Accord, it was the direct tv…

It was awkward, but I had to explain why I couldn’t call them. But, they understood because they were only a couple years older than me. So when I went over their house, they wanted to turn on the tv, but I had to remind them and they were nice enough to do an activity that does not have to do with technology. We played Uno and a couple other card games. I got a snapchat text and I touched my phone and read the text, then without replying, I left my friend on reading and turned off my phone. I tried so hard to not touch my phone all day, then accidentally touched my phone towards the end. Towards bed time, I realized how in today’s society technology is so important to this generation. Even for me, it was hard to be away from my phone. This allowed me to be closer to my family and to enjoy life without technology. It allowed me to spend time with my family and have fun the real way. Real way as in not in technology fun. The message for this assignment was to let people know that there is a real world out there and it can change your experience without having technology near…

The victim, my boyfriend zacery, plan of action was to turn off the t.v.. Zacery is in love with television, and when I even try and talk to him during a movie, she always shushes me. This is now later in the day, and we are at his house on the couch. Once again, the nerves hit me like a brick wall, and even more so when I stole the remote while he was in the bathroom. When he came back, he did not even notice the remote missing which was a gigantic relief at that point. The plan was already in action at that point, I started the stare only to break it once again for the clock on my phone. Zac did not notice for the first possibly five minutes because he was so involved in the show we were watching Zacery noticed, but honestly don't care, the only thing he said was that he knows he is beautiful, and I am missing a good part in the show. When the ten minutes were finally up, I turned off the t.v. as soon as my eyes left the black screen, I faced the enraged face of zac. At that point he was yelling about how dumb that was, I didn’t even listen at that point because I couldn’t stop laughing. This by far, was my best reaction from the previous experiments, and was completely worth it in the end. After I explained the experiment and my assignment, he was only slightly mad, after that point I could finally watch t.v. without a bundle nerves in my…

By that time it was 12:30-1:00 in the morning. I ended up not going to school the next day due to the fact that I didn’t want to be judged with the way that society is today. Later that week of the accident, I had seen my neighbor who had tryied to shatter the pen and all he had said was, “wow, that looks like it hurts.” when I first saw him afterwards. Later he had said that he was sorry and that it was dumb of him to trying doing that. As of today we are no longer friends. It was in the meridian of summer, where the sun was shining brighter than gold and the orchids where blossoming to the waterfall’s melody. The sound of children’s bare feet sizzeling on the barren and hot sand gave me an indication that this day could be the hottest day of summer. I got a call from my friends, telling me to go with them to the beach, where we would rent a speed boat and ride on the waves. In a few hours, we reached the beach and hopped on one of the speed boats. I picked to be the first one to drive, so I accelerated, causing the boat to fly of the water. For my bad luck, I put my backpack on the far end of the speed boat and my phone, right next to it. With all my supermacy I accelerated causing my phone to slip into the water. My friend notified me immediatley so I circled around the position where my phone dropped and I saw it slowly fading away in the deep ocean. I jumped in to grab it but it was too late for me. I was waving good bye to it, as if we were lovers who were never going to see each other again. I told my friends to return me back to…
