Once again, I had no luck in either of the two stores I wanted to go in, so my whole family was forced to shuffle into World of Disney.
As we walked into the store, I saw a sign saying “ALL STUFFED ANIMALS IN THE BACK” so I pointed to the sign and shoved through the massive crowd, with my grandma, all the way to the back. Between people’s shoulders, I spotted a dark pink paw! My heart started racing, and a smile crept over my face as I ran to the bear’s shelf. Arriving to the shelves, I saw a little girl, probably almost 4 years old, also heading for the bear with her dad. There was only one Lots-o’ bear left. The bear was in my hands when the little girl got to the shelves. All of a sudden, she saw the bear in my hands and started to cry. Being 8 years old, I knew I should be the bigger person, so I gave the little girl the bear without thinking twice. A big smile spread across the girl’s face as she showed her dad her new bear. I searched the shelves for a new Lots-o’, but I couldn’t find
any.
It was almost 9:45 so my grandma decided we should get going. I couldn’t believe I gave the little girl the LAST Lots-o’ bear. But I knew it was the right thing to do, so I agreed with Grandma and started to head for the door. Before I could get out the door, something caught my eye on the table full of Woody dolls and Buzz Lightyears. I wandered over to the table to get a closer look. Hiding behind a Woody doll, I found one Lots-o’ Bear! Before I could think, the bear was in my arms and I was running towards my grandma with a grin from ear to ear. As soon as I told her, we were heading for the cash registers. In a blink of an eye, the Lots-o’ Bear is mine. Little did I know, I wouldn’t be able to sleep without that bear for the rest of my life.
