area smelled foul. While waiting for the train I was looking around at people making unpleasant faces because I was thinking theses guys are so ugly and loud. Still waiting, I felt water leaking from the ceiling onto my forehead. I was getting really annoyed by then so I complained to my mom. “Can’t this dumb train come already we've been waiting here forever” I pleaded. “Stop making noise you're too loud” She said. “Sorry, but I can't take this anymore I hate the subway isn't there an easier way” I whispered. “No just keep quiet the train is almost here” she replied annoyed “The monitor says two minutes.” The two minutes were the longest ever and to make me more upset the train had no seats, completely full when it got pulled into the platform. Standing for sometime my feet started to hurt so the first seat that I saw was empty I quickly sat down and with my mom standing in front of me. Our stop was the third to last stop so by time my mom sat down the train was empty. When the doors opened it was cold since it was nighttime and we weren't underground. We got out and walked down the stairs then went through the machines that would make us swipe our cards to pay so we would get through, however since we were on the opposite side we didn't have to pay. We went down some more stairs and finally reached the sidewalk. My stomach started to growl so I wanted something sweet to eat. I so happenly knew there was a Dunkin Doughnut and it was by the bus stop where we were heading. We have to cross a the street to get to the bus top but there were many cars on the curb so we couldn't really see what's on the road that much other than the big trucks and obviously the busses because we're so short. My mom was looking left and right like always to make sure the road was empty which she said it was so we decided to cross, but since I stepped out before her looking straight ahead, I didn't see a jet black car zooming down the road to almost hit me by the side until I saw lights at the side of my pupil and hearing my mom yelling and dragging me back. “Samantha!” She yelled frantically then yanked me hard back to the side walk.
“Ouch that hurts and you can stop holding me back now” I replied “Come on now the road is really empty let's walk fast don't want the bus to come and we miss it” mom emphasized. Then we started to cross the street but this time she held my hand. After that the bus came and I couldn't get that doughnut and I thought to myself what a strike of bad luck but I'm happy that she dragged me back that she really cared even though I thought that I didn't need her to hold my hand across the street because I'm a big girl. My bad luck of almost getting hit by a car didn’t stop there. When I was in 9th grade coming home from school outside was a little windy and warm. A white guy in a rusty car started darting down the street when the bus driver had to beep the horn on the steering wheel. By time he was to stop he was like an inch close to hitting me and a some black boy who I think was a year older than me. I started yelling at the man when I crossed and walked out onto the sidewalk. ¨What's your problem.¨ I started to rant ¨You have
problems.¨ Then I started walking home and thought to myself is why can these people learn how to drive and maybe now even more watch the cars when they have crazy drivers. When I got home I called my mom to inform her that I was home and safe but also upset at the incident that occurred.
