Atwater is a small, quaint town, built from the roots of agriculture. The city of Atwater is a progressive community that is slowly growing, commercially. It is isolated to the point where there is little to do, and hardships in excess. Even with the hardships, Atwater brings out the best in those who are willing. Atwater, in return, becomes a sufficient and accepting home, even to the point where everyone knows each other, especially in the Ghetto. It provides me with a great school, and a beneficial work experience. I have learned the ups and downs of working part time, and attending school full time. My dream to become a doctor is not my dream, but the dream of my entire community. The necessity of me giving back to my community is utmost important, which is why I am a strong advocate for community service. Having done over 350 hours of service, I have learned from professional doctors and nurses at Mercy Hospital events, and passed on my knowledge as a mentor and tutor to the struggling students at my school. I also take charge in school events, because being a leader is what allows a person to adapt and help others more efficiently. I am the President of the California Scholarship Federation, and have been the Vice-President of the school’s biggest community service club, Pacific Club. The ability to help people and provide for my community is an opportunity that I cannot pass
