Myself and two others were in charge of helping individuals acquire the proper paperwork and finding potential residents. What I perceived to be an easy task turned out to be just the opposite. These individuals have been on the street for so long that it is difficult for them to consider a life indoors. Various factors such as anxiety from being indoors, inability to cooperate with others or even the mistrust in the establishment kept people from being able to live comfortably indoors. This challenge made me realize the vulnerable state of these individuals and that even small efforts towards their health could drastically improve their lives. With these views and insights, I hope to take the skills acquired at Western University and put them to efficient use to help better communities local as well as
