In football, rules are followed to ensure safety. Relationships are created between players and coaches to make them a better athlete. Outside of football players have relationships with their parents, wife, and children to make them a better person. Their job aside from football are there kids. As soon as they are born it is there duty to develop rules to ensure there kids safety such as dating rules.…
This is another quote that focuses on the amount of women all over the world who are forced to last (through bad times) whatever harm comes their way. Not only in Afghanistan, but in every country, and every neighbourhood. This is an on going issue in the world that has been around for centuries and is one that is often times 'swept under the rug.' To me, this issue should not be over looked at all, and I would certainly like to see and take part in educating (communities of people) on women's…

Future brides trying to choose their bridesmaids should take in account the maid of honor speech because a sister will have an emotional impact on the guest that shows them an unforgettable bond between family. Choosing a maid of honor is a very important decision to make as a bride, and there are 3 important parts to making this decision. Having a maid of honor that will write a quality speech that shows great effort and emotion is essential. A sister will do just that, being able to write a speech that will demonstrate a true connection between family. During the presentation of her speech, the maid of honor should be able to show passion through tears and laughter. These behaviors will draw the guest’s…
Ross treated Evie like the finest diamond. He bathed her and shined her and even leaned down and took her out of the tub, putting a terry cloth robe around her and then to the bed. He laid her upon the soft sheets and then put a pair of new cotton undies on her, slipping it over her ankles and then up and over her knees and thighs and lifted her rear in the air. Once that was done, he listened to her question and said:…
Growing up I had my fair share of princess movies and of course the Princess Bride. We used to watch it all the time at my babysitters and it easily became one of my favorite movies. The characters were so interesting to my 8 year old self. They were all so brave and beautiful that I never knew what was going to happen next even if it was the third time I had watched it that day. But as I grew up, just as much of other things I grew out of, I saw the the Princess Bride for what it truly is. The characters weren’t so much brave and beautiful, I could soon predict everything that was coming up and not because I had seen it so much but it was just obvious. Sadly, now I hate the movie for all its worth.…
Day one, nervous with anticipation, the coordinator told me to the girls on the lower field were mine. Scanning the group, I noticed most girls were standing in laughing and joking in small groups, discussing the current events of middles school life. One girl caught my eye, she was standing off to the side with her mother--a heavyset girl with scrunched shoulders and hair, a bit knotty, hanging in her face. It would be hard to be a chubby girl in a running program, with all these stick figure middle school girls. Of the two dozen girls, this one needed me most.…
After a while, good but not excellent books lull me into a false sense of cozy comfort. I’m content with my reading, the calibre of books I’ve been choosing, and it’s that warm mush feeling that sates but does not inspire. Then a book falls into my hands that reminds me what great literature is. A book that smacks of talent, whose prose rings with such descriptive brilliance it demands to be savoured. The writing, so simple yet poignant, a book that paints glorious pictures without becoming muddy in its prose. My Ántonia is the book for me. The storyline is simple, lacking in the one large conflict. It is instead a set of metaphors about America, its women and their rights, loves and longings. It is a story as much about the landscape as it…
Much like you when I was in 6th grade I had to speak in front of an audience. It can be a very scary experience and when your anxiety starts to kick in it can feel almost impossible to do well. As you said you signed up for another speaking competition and I believe that was the best thing for you to do. You should do things that allow you to speak in front of people to help build up your confidence and make you more comfortable speaking in front of an audience. Do not feel like you are just limited to doing only competitions go out and speak to different people, because audience is different and will have a different effect on how nervous you may be. Like myself, when I speak to an audience of my peers or advisers I tend to feel a…
I agree with your statement that women’s role has changed over time. We have certainly become more independent and educated. Women’s movement has allowed us rights and privileges that have improve our lives and made our voices heard. We have achieved human and civil rights that were not available years ago. This has led to us thinking more about ourselves and becoming improving. I know friends of mine and family members that have no yearning to have children, they are focused in their careers and traveling the world. I don’t judge them cause for many years we were viewed as inferior. That’s one of the advantages of living in a free country as the United States, we have the freedom to do what we pleased without suffering repercussions…

Every morning, I go through the same agonizing routine. Wake up to my alarm clock screaming at me, eat a chocolate-chip croissant with strawberry milk while watching the glamorous, yet slightly annoying, Olivia Morgan and the rest of the cheesy morning news cast. Olivia is the type of person that can make you want to take a step back from life and look at how miserably bad you have done compared to her, though, at the same time, makes you want to gouge your eyes out every single time you hear your little yelpy voice. Looking at how long and perfectly curled her blonde hair is, and how aligned her white teeth are, and how her cheekbones and so defined makes me wish God put some extra work into my making like he did into hers. However, as soon…
