Everyone has that one dream, that one dream that no matter what they always hope comes true. Well for me it all started when I was about three. My mom took me to “The Downtown Aquarium” in Denver, CO. As soon as we walked through the doors, I was completely mesmerized. I enjoyed seeing all of the marine life. Ever since then I have always wanted to learn more about them.…
El Cerro de la Bufa, Mina el Edén, Cathedral of Zacatecas, Rafael Coronel Museum, Pedro Coronel Museum, Toma de Zacatecas Museum, Nuestra Señora de Fátima Temple, Francisco Goitia Museum, Guadalupe Museum, Zacatecas Museum, Science Museum, Museum del Planchado, The Inquisitor's House museum, etc. are sights that make your visit a lovely experience.…
the first business that I have chosen is Tesco PLC. Tesco's purpose is to serve its customers. The primary function of any business is to make money and invest; if it doesn't do that, it can't exist. Tesco is a major retailer in grocery and general retailing.…
After Big Sur and spending the night in Pacifica we went further north to San Francisco. When we spent the night in Pacifica our hotel was right near the ocean. It was such a beautiful view to wake up to. I just absolutely love the sound of the ocean. In San Francisco we went over the Golden Gate Bridge. It was a pretty cool thing to see with the views of San Francisco and the ocean. We then went to the park across from the Painted Ladies. The Painted Ladies are the houses that appear in the background of the opening of the original Full House series. It was an awesome thing to go see as I grew up watching Full House and will still watch it from time to time. Once we were done at the park we went to the San Francisco Giants stadium. Although…
I met my mentor as I opened my front door on a brisk fall Friday night, November 11, 2011 to be exact. He stood at about 5’3,” which made me laugh a bit because I was taller and I would be calling him my mentor. The style he had was that of a preppy college student. The voice he had was so loud that it echoed throughout my house as we first chatted. Out of all the attributes that make up Francisco, the one that will forever be stuck in my brain will be that of his enormous smile. Francisco always figures out a way to keep his big bright smile on his face, despite the situation he is facing. Francisco San Miguel’s dedication and hard work are two things that have led him towards his success…
It was spring break,my family and I went to Galveston. It was amazing. We had a lot of fun,and these are just some things that we wanted to do.…
Growing up my dad and his two sisters were always vocal about how they grew up in a poor household. My grandpa maintained a steady income that was only enough to pay bills and put food on the table. My granny was a stay at home mom that would pick up jobs here and there being a maid. So, there money was very tight and vacationing was out of the question. One day my grandpa decides that he wants to walk on sandy beach barefoot and pick up pretty seashells. So, he packed up his family and drove from Dallas to Galveston with only the rent money in his pocket. And from there the Lacy’s summer vacation to Galveston has been in full effect. I am twenty-two years old and for as long as I can remember, all my summer memories are from Galveston Island.…
I am from San Antonio, Texas and growing up in San Antonio was a great experience. I am proud to be from a big city with a small town feel with strong family values. San Antonio is a city rich in culture that her people love as much as Texas.…
I remember the day vividly: the sizzling of food frying, children yelling, my tears running, it was the first time I adventured to Six Flags. The uneasiness of my stomach while swaying tens of feet from the ground on the Texas Giant petrified the adventurous spirit out of me. However, I did not realize that moment `would shape the next eight years of life, emerging in my memory at every unfamiliar experience I faced. It was my senior year when I declined an invitation to go camping with my friends an epiphany struck me. How many of these opportunities was I going to skip out on due to my reluctant manner?…
It was just a boring day in my hometown, a traditional, weak entrance a lot of narrative stories use to try to get the attention of the readers. This story, however, isn’t one of those traditional stories; this one involves a day that had been exciting up to that point already. The memory that resonates daily throughout my mind would have to be the time when I went to Six Flags for the first time in my life. Before I jump into my story, I should tell you my friends mess with each other a lot, almost to the point where we get into fights with each other.…
The first time I went to California was insane. The plane ride, the weather, and the beach was the best. So on to the story. One day my parents decided we would visit our frends in California. So we gave them a call. “Ring ring ring.” ”Hi Dee,” my mom said.”Hi, how’s it going?” “good good, you” “ I’m great, never been better” “We were thinking of visiting you, that is if it is ok with you?” “yes yes that is perfect with us.we’ll even pay for it” “really, I’ll tell the family.” “Bye.” “Bye”. Then it was for sure that we would go.We went to the airport.Getting on the plane was fun. When we got on the plane, it was a…
I am sure it happened as easily as this: We were sitting around the garage shooting the bull during a cold winter snap. Thoughts turned to motorcycle rides and things spring and summer. For once, it wasn’t me. Mrs. K was the one to mention going to California. We hadn’t taken a trip the summer before, and she said, “We ought to ride to California and take the PCH along the coast.” Probably, no one jumped up and started packing, but several certainly starting thinking. One mention leads to another mention which leads to final plans. For me, it was a dream I have had since I watched Then Came Bronson and spent my time reading On the Road. For all of us, we researched the trip and found places and things…
Going to Southern California, no one would think of packing an umbrella. Why would they? California is in the middle of a drought. When someone thinks of California, they think of baby blue skies and palm trees along the streets. But, of course, the weekend my family decided to visit Disneyland, Universal Studios, and SeaWorld is the weekend Southern California experienced what the local news called a “tropical depression.”…

The sound of the ocean is a form of relaxation but for me, I like to call it home. Ventura is a small county located in the southern part of the California and for the past twenty-two years it has been my sanctuary. The other two years of my life I spent in a smaller town called Irapuato, Guanajuato, Mexico. This was my birthplace and home to my parents until they made the decision of migrating directly to Ventura County. Within Irapuato City, there are small ranchos or ranches, located on the outskirts of town and at our rancho, we would raise pigs, goats, cows and, sheep. Surrounding our rancho there are acres of land, where we plant fruits and vegetables to consume and sell to our little community. Life in Mexico is much more rural than…
