Suddenly I had an idea. I decided to see if my sisters and cousin would bury me. I asked them if they could and they said yes. they started by making a hole a couple inches deep and as long as me. It took the five minutes to be done with that part.

Then, they told me to lay in the hole, so I did. Lastly, they started burying me up to my chin, which took about half an hour. After that was all done, I was very tired. The sand felt like a blanket and pillow, so I instantly

On Saturday, I have attended a Pow Wow that was happening at the California State University of Long Beach. I knew what kind of event it was because this was my second time attending one. At the first Pow Wow, I was able to take the opportunity to volunteer for them and helped them out with the resting area for the dancers and other miscellaneous tasks. I also had the chance to walk around and explore what was provided and stayed at the event until the end. It has been over two years since I had gone to the first Pow Wow so I was excited to see once again the beauty and the uniqueness of the Native Americans and their culture.…

I broke my arm today while getting on the freight train. Thank God I still have an arm unlike some of the other I have meet who have lost an arm or leg and some even know someone who has lost their life ( Riding the Rails). I have done this a couple of time now and I shouldn't have been so anxiety about it but I was. I hide under the track outside the yard like I normally do, waiting for the train to reach momentum so I could get on. I forgot to check for the bull guards who are hired to keep hoboes from jumping on freight. I guess I got too comfy with my environment( Riding the rails). Right when I was getting on the trains, I heard the bull guards yelling and chasing after me. It threw me off my balance and I nearly fell off the train. I…

I wonder what my family will say when they see what happened. Maybe they will be completely shocked or maybe they will expect that this would happen at some point. Growing up in the Deer Run area I detested wilderness. I went to an elementals school by the name of Pete Gallego; it is located on the outskirts of Eagle Pass and we didn't have to go far to see vast wilderness. To the students of Pete Gallego Elementary, wilderness was a barren wasteland that only homed rattlesnakes and hares. We saw it every day at recess; there were mesquite trees, more mesquite tree and believe it or not a few hundred more mesquite trees. They weren’t even the green ones; they had this dirty grey hue to them, as if they had been bleached by years of children’s tears. So when my sixth grade teacher gave us the project of, “take time out of your day to look at and appreciate nature.” I was livid; I was not going to walk around this desert and risk my life to appreciate sadness and sorrow. Little did I…

I went back to the secret house after I was done talking with my dad on the phone and started digging up the whole to get out of this dump. It took a while because I was younger and less stronger than them so I couldn’t dig as long as them so I had to have continuous breaks. After about the third break in 30 minutes I had already forgot what day my brother would come and try and get me outta here. I didn’t really know how he would be able to get me out of here it pretty well secured besides…

Today is the day! Today, I go experience the Knott’s Berry Farm for myself. I couldn’t wait to ride the rides, so when my uncle got here I raced into his car and off we went to the Knott’s Berry Farm. When we arrived, we immediately decided to aim for finishing all the rides. Most of the lines for the rides were very intimidating. To the point where we were questioning ourselves will this really be worth it? Most of the rides we waited in had a queue of 1 to 2 hours but the rides were definitely worth it even if they were just 1 to 2 minutes. In return for the queue, the rides always kept me occupies with the accelerations, drops, and loops! All the waiting, loops, and drops without food was starting to take affect and I was getting hungry…

Everyone has their own community or organization for which they belong to. Within that community you tend to find who you are and what you are about. For me I found my identity in being an outdoors man. Being an outdoors man at my young age seems to be rare at this day, but that doesn’t prevent me from doing something I love and appreciate. Growing up with my family full of avid outdoors men helped influence me and only made my identity stronger.…

I will never say that I regret going to Waffle House; I do not. It was one of the best times that I have ever had. My friends are so goofy and wild that anytime with them is never boring. I also connected with Leo, which was amazing. We laughed, cried, and talked about everything and nothing. It turned out that we had a lot of things in common; we liked the same music, books, and even paintings. Also, I found out that he was very open-minded and kind; two qualities that are very important to me. The whole night with my friends and him felt movie-like and I will never forget it. I think that it was a good experience to…

On Saturday April 13, 2013 I was walking through the parking garage on the USAA campus in San Antonio, TX to start my 4 hour work shift, I began to go through the turnstile and seemingly startled awake a bat. This bat began to fly and squeal in fear. It darted at my head getting caught in my hair a couple times. I started to scream and flail my arms about trying to fend off the nocturnal flying mammal in fear. During what seemed to be forever I was able to unlock the turnstile and exit the entry way but not before rupturing two discs in my neck. This incident caused quite the turn of events in my life. I had been working for USAA for 3 years and truly loved it there. I also lived in a beautiful apartment with my mother and two children and…
