Personal Reflection of Morals and Ethics

Today I am a well noticed college student who views life as such a precious gift. The reason I view life this way dates back to how my parents were raised and how their parents were raised. My parents are very hard working people, who have recently returned to college to finish up their degrees. For every child there is a rough patch which they go through, those times for me were throughout junior high and high school. I have now flourished into a well-educated mechanical engineer because my parents never gave up on disciplining me and showing me what the world has to offer. I currently view the world as a land filled with ethical people. Without moral and ethics today’s world would be a catastrophe. There are people in this world that do not follow the moral code which in turn causes harm to others. For those that do follow that moral code, the world becomes a very peaceful and friendly place. Morality gives such authority because it is human nature. We do as God commands us or calls us through word of the bible and church. It is also a code that was made long ago because one would like others to do unto them as they have done unto others. There are many situations which cause for a moral dilemma where the desirable or undesirable can both cause conflict or each side can be justifiable. Another ethical part of today’s world is behavior. The behavior of one can cause a huge impact on this world. Behavior can cause harm or help by the actions that are committed. As you grow in today’s world you realize what behavior is appropriate. As a child you do not catch on to what the world has to teach you. As you grow older you tend to pick up on the norms of the world, which forms you as the person you are today. We tend to have a strong interest in the character of people because one’s nature to act in a certain way has an effect on our moral behavior. Ethics has formed the world in front of us and it is clarified by etiquette, religion and moral behavior.
