Interpersonal skills are important because of the need for strong people skills and the ability to write cursory programs for patients. Motor skills must show and help patients with their exercises. The last skill is observational skills maybe the most important, is the ability to focus on details. PTs have to discover what's wrong with a patient from near or far (Alyson-1). Personality traits that will help you become a good physical therapist are compassion and resourcefulness. Compassion is important because you have to remember that your patient are most likely in pain. Resourcefulness is important because each patient has to have a personalized treatment plan.
