Personal Wellness Report
During the time that was spent on completing my wellness profile I must say that I learned a lot about my family and myself. I learned the habits that I have, what my strong and weak points are, and just a clear understanding of what my overall present and possible future health will look like.

I thought that the outcome that I had in my holistic lifestyle questionnaire was for the most part on par with what I expected it to be. There was nothing that I was in shock about there is just areas that I need to improve on ,but I think it can be an easy change for me. A couple areas that I thought I’m better at than what the questionnaire perceived me as was one being the safety and self –care I personally think that I’m very good at both of those, but obviously there can always be room for improvement.

The reason being is that it has no idea of your family history, or what your health status is currently so to me in a way it does tell and in another way it doesn’t.

I felt like I learned more during the HLQ report rather than the family history because those were things that I have already known about. I think the HLQ report it put me in perspective about the things that I was doing wrong and the improvements that I need to make in my life.

The way that my current lifestyle is affecting my health today is probably the way that I eat. I feel that my diet and what I intake into my body should be a lot better than what it is. I’m still a very active person but personally my body and eating style is not where I want it to be currently.

I think the way my current lifestyle will affect my future is not good a lot of things can happen I could develop diabetes with the way I eat seeing that it runs in my family. Also could have high blood pressure as well with my sodium intake and other

Since my health is now improving, I tend to think differently about food and what I put in to my body. My confidence has improved greatly as I have lost weight, because now I do not feel like people judge me as much. I now eat to survive, not just for pleasure. My way of thinking about losing weight has changed because now I know that it is a life style change not a diet. I find myself thinking of different ways to burn extra calories, like parking further away in parking lots so that I have to walk further, and taking the stairs instead of…

Wellness includes five main categories, which are physical, social, mental, emotional and spiritual development. To maintain satisfactory health, it is essential that we go to great lengths to maintain wealthy conditions in all of those areas. I am evaluating my performances in every single part, and it came to my realisation while my spiritual health is the strongest, my physical health is the weakest, which is actually one score apart from my social health.…

This was a really eye opening experience. The inventory got me thinking about many different aspects and how I learn and approach different problems and situations. The implication is that the different selfs (physical, emotional, social, critical, creative, and passionate) affect how you learn. In some situations you might be more confident in yourself than others. However, after you complete the self profile it is not really well defined about what the term survival, maintenance, and enhancement means. I can deduce that the survival means that I am just getting by, the maintence means I am trying but have to work at it, and enhancement means that I have mostly mastered that portion of myself. This would open up a discussion with the support team as to what your strengths and weaknesses are. I know for myself by thinking about the questions, it made more aware and as I go into a situation, I might think differently about how I approach the…

Everyone deserves equal access to healthcare. Nevertheless, many people in our community still do not have access to good healthcare. A friend of mine was in a critical condition because she refused to seek medical treatment when she became ill. She did not have health insurance and she was not aware of the opportunities for affordable healthcare for those with low income. I have seen the negative impact that comes from delaying health care many times in my Vietnamese-American community, and I understand their struggle because I was once in their shoes. Additionally, many healthcare professionals seem to not realize that most Vietnamese cannot read, as education was not their priority.…
