I will be writing my paper on personality, attitudes, and job performance. This subject(s) caught my eye because I am currently working in a job (field) where I deal with people every day. We all have different personalities and attitudes and we all have to learn how to deal with them if we are going to manage or work in these types of environments. Also, we have to be satisfied with our jobs to have good job performance. Studies show that the number of people who are satisfied with their jobs is currently declining because people are not enjoying their jobs. So, I will write my paper on personalities, attitudes, and job performance and also teach myself about how to improve my skills of being a great manager.
Personality, Attitudes, and Job Performance Personality is an arrangement of emotion, thinking skills, and social patterns that affect how a person responds to a situation and cooperates with others. You can be a job seeker, manager or entrepreneur and continuously building and cultivating relationships, but you must start with self-knowledge and self-knowledge starts with personality.
According to a personality expert, Professor John Mayer, he states “personality is the organized, developing system within the individual that represents the collective action of that individual’s major psychological subsystems.” In layman’s terms, I like to think of personality as that inherent driver of how we act. It’s that natural disposition we fall back on when all those other forces of the outside world are accounted for. (McCuddy, 2015)
When I think about personality I would always remind people that personality consist of two things; and that would be behavior and intent. Personality is most often described in terms of reckonable traits a person demonstrates. Personality and attitudes are just alike. That’s
