Where I received a Bachelors of Science in Criminal Justice. While there, I took multiple course in law enforcement, criminal behaviors, forensic investigations and juvenile delinquency. One of the most productive courses was when I conducted an internship with at risk children in the inter-city. Most of the children at this program have been suspended or expelled form there school all within the ages 12-18 for violent or drug related activities. My responsibilities were to connect with the children. I had to get into there setting, and understand why they did what they did. This was one of the most heart-warming activities that I have ever conducted in my life. Being with these children I can personal watch them transform into what others want them to be and how they want to be.
The little children struggle to fit in verse do what is right. It was and still is my personnel goals to help children convert from evil activities into create outlets. I strongly believe that in supporting our youths we can begin to alter the mind set of “what could be” a criminal a an early age.
