“Action is the foundational key to all success.” These wise words were spoken by Pablo Picasso, and they could not be truer. In life you can’t expect to achieve great things without putting forth an extensive amount of effort. In this case the great thing I am trying to attain is a six or higher on the AP exam towards the end of the year. I know that I am beyond capable of achieving this goal as long as I continue to apply myself and remain dedicated throughout the year. Over the course of the last few years I have been told on many occasions that I could go far and do great things in school if I were to only apply myself and take school more seriously. Over the summer I realized that if I really want to turn myself around, so that I can be accepted to a four year university, it needs to be this year. I no longer have the luxury of sliding by through school. This year I plan on going above and beyond what is required of me so that I can make up for what I have naively been unappreciative of, my right to an education. In America we are blessed with something that most of us do not take advantage of, education. Although our school system is not always perfect, it provides us with opportunities that could help us go farther in life than what is expected of us. Children in other many other countries are provided with no education. No matter how much money your parents may have, or where you come from, you can get a high school or even college diploma in the United States. However it’s all a matter of how much effort you are willing to put forth. This year it is my goal to make straight A’s in all my classes. I will complete all of my assignments and take advantage of extra credit opportunities whether I need them or not. School is now my absolute main priority above all other things. I refuse to procrastinate on any of my assignments, and will attempt to do assignments ahead of time when possible. In this particular course as well as my other
