Persuasive Essay About Golf
Ever since I could remember I've always wanted to be the best I could be at golf. I started out playing for fun, but as I got older I began to play in more and more competitive tournaments. Golf is a growing game among kids my age and younger. You may think golf is "an easy ride to college", "an easy sport to pick up", but the competition is stiffer than it has ever been. Especially living in California, the number one ranked state with the best junior golfers in the nation and the world. Unfortunately, my Freshman and sophomore year my academics took a backseat during early recruiting processes and my grades suffered. I'm extremely tired. Attempting to juggle improving my golf game, grades, and test scores. However I am determined to stay

What is a small ball, it has lots of hexagons on it’s surface, flies through the air like a bird, and is loved by billions? A golf ball. Golf is a worldwide sport that many people adore. Golf can be played by anyone, that doesn’t mean there going to be a tiger woods the first time they play. Sports should be a part of everybody’s lifestyle. There are many different types of sports, from combat sports to snow sports or even water sports, but the best type of sports are physical. One of the most outstanding physical sports is softball. Softball can be played by female athletes at many different levels. For example, travel softball, one of the most advanced ways to play, is played by elite girls between the ages of nine and twenty-three. Travel softball is a better opportunity than summer league softball because it makes any softball player a better athlete and more social by getting the opportunity to meet new people, play softball all year round, and experience more recruitment options.…

As I watch a high school sports event, I often wonder if people are actually betting real money on a simple game like this. I also then start to wonder if I would ever find myself betting on a sporting event. Very often, I see a commercial for a company like Fanduel, Sports Kings, or BetDSI and realize how massive of a brand that filtered sports betting is becoming. Since these websites are filtered and have very strict regulations placed on them by the government. For example, a member of these websites would have to be 18 or older, and can only place a certain amount of money on a certain amount of events. Sports betting gives people the feeling of being free, which is mostly why sports fans sign to these filtered gambling site. Even though…

We get what life hands us and sometimes it is good, but sometimes it is bad. A great activity offered by schools is softball and I am very thankful for that. First, softball makes a big difference in health. Second, we can get a good scholarship by playing softball and if we are a good enough player. Last, if we play softball, we are able to get physical with the other players. As can be seen, it is a good thing schools give us the opportunity to have all these great activities. First of all, softball really improves our health a lot. When we go up to swing the bat and we swing really hard, it works our arm muscles and makes us stronger. All we do in softball is run laps. We hit the ball we get to run the bases or if the ball is hit by another player we have to run to it to catch the ball, sometimes we do not get to catch it. If we practice we have to run the fence three times before practice is over which is not fun. When I play softball I am not allowed to have pop, the only things I am aloud to drink is water or Gatorade. I am fine with drinking either of those because they are both good and healthy. After all, this is why…

John Wooden (NCAAB Hall of Fame coach) said, “Sports do not build character. They reveal it.” High school sports are usually beneficial to all parties involved, such as the athletes, parents and the schools that have the athletic programs. The athletes that play high school sports learn countless lessons on life, how to be healthy with exercise, and the extra incentive to keep up the grade to play these sports. Parents of high school athlete’s get an opportunity to watch their child succeed at something he or she loves. Parents can also benefit financially, when their child is good enough at a sport to get offered a scholarship which may pay for all of college. For a high school that has athletic programs the biggest pro is the amount of money to be made from things such as admissions, concessions stand sells, t-shirts…

90 minutes to make or break your season. The grass under your cleats when arriving at the pitch. Wind blowing through jerseys while sprinting to get the ball. The silky feel of your school colors on your sweaty skin. The thrill achieved by that one perfect kick straight into the feet of the waiting teammate right next to the goalie's box. The skill and precision that goes into one sport that the world goes crazy for. Imagine dribbling across the length of the pitch and passing the ball, waiting for that pass back to complete the two-touch the team has been practicing endlessly. The ball is coming straight at you at break-neck speed. It’s too high to stop with your feet, what do you do? You breathe, take a look at your coach who is chewing ferociously…

Some people may address issues in the plan. For example, our idea for advertisement will require many volunteers. We addressed this as a group. The conclusion that we came up with is that if we can spread the word to teenagers that we could provide community service hours for them if the teens could come to work as volunteers, they would be interested in helping out the event and would be able to gain service hours at the same time. They are teenagers, and teenagers know how to attract teenagers’ interests the most. Teenagers would probably be the best people to do this job. If the Summer Fun Fest could successfully attract teenage volunteers to come help advertising, it would not only do better on advertisement and attract more participants,…
