Businesses have adapted a four day work week consisting of ten hours a day to conserve energy and resources. Our school is making the choice whether or not they want to take off Friday or Monday from school and just have a four day school week. If the school decided to do this each school day would be an extra two hours. The school would also have a lot of different opinions from the students so, before any decision is made to make the three day weekend the principle should ask the students in some way so they can be sure everyone is on board with the idea. Students could be gathered in an auditorium and told about all of the different opinions the staff have then have them write whether or not it’s a good idea. After all of the votes are in I would add them up and make my choice. The school could even make it temporary and see the results and how the students respond. Having school at night with an extra two hours would be a bigger step but it would be awesome and teach students a lot of different skills like working in the morning and making it to places on time. There are multiple advantages and disadvantages to a four day school week. If the school did or did not choose to have a four day school week I personally wouldn’t care because either way you make up all of your missed school days with the extra two hours a day. I think the school would have a lot of changes and different routines to go by in order to make every day go by smoothly.
