5 Day School Week Analysis

If four day weeks were introduced to schools, the students and schools will both benefit. The schools will save a significant amount of money and students will excel academically and behavior will improve drastically. Whenever we have a student/teacher holiday, less students are absent and behave because they are looking forward to less days of the week. When students have less days to worry about, it will make them work harder so they can finish of the week sooner.
According to document B, the cost for substitutes decreased by nearly 76%. Schools would be saving money for separate needed school funding. Also students will have less excuses for late turn-in assignments the next week. During a normal 5 day school week, students have been losing interest in their work. There have been several cases of detentions inflicted on students who have fallen asleep in class. That can be changed if students have a
The teachers will have a more relaxed and humbled peace of minds giving students less of a chance and a reason to act out. In document C, it states that students absent in the four day week was way lower than the students absent in a five day week. More students attended school because there is no reason to skip school if there is only four days. In context, school will be a happier place and students would be well- behaved.
Having a four day week is an excellent and well thought out improvement to school districts all over Georgia, or all over the U.S. Students, teachers, and districts will all be effected for the better. There may be less time for us to get work done, but that can be made up in the new urgency students will have to pay attention and learn what they must so they can play after they accomplished what is expected of them. This can and will create a new milestone for schools
