There are many things to consider when making one of the most important decisions you will make in your life. A person should consider the cost, and their financial situation, the time they want to spend in school, why they are going to school or their career choice, and also the experience they are trying to achieve.
The cost is one of the biggest factors for students. The cost of a four year university will be much higher than a technical college. To earn a degree from a technical college the average student is looking at a one to two year degree. While in a four year school, the average person is looking at four to five years to earn a bachelors degree and than going right into a master’s degree to compete with the hundreds of applicants. Technical schools focus on preparing the students to enter the workforce after graduation.
According to survey conducted by the CCSSE, more than two-thirds of the community college students are willing to ask questions in class or join in discussions, compared to only half of the four year students.. It is also stated that students feel that staff are more willing to interact with students. Students are also more likely to get a response from teachers during and outside of class.
