Persuasive Essay On Concealed Weapons
Everyone wants to feel safe and everyone has their opinion. One reason any citizen that does not have a criminal record should be able to carry a concealed weapon because it is a constitutional right. Being able to carry a concealed weapon has been a debated topic for years. Thousands of people are being able to carry a weapon because it is form of self-defense. The government should not be allowed to discontinue responsible adults from having the power to defend themselves.
Why would it not be right for me or for others to carry a weapon, but a police officer whom society holds to be a good person can? I mean do you honestly believe that every cop out there is a good person? Cops are shooting people to and not just for self-defense. This …show more content…
Just imagine for a moment, being attacked and not being able to protect yourself, wishing to have something such as a handgun to save your life. In everyday life there is a risk you will be set in a situation where self-defense will be needed and there is also a higher attempt that the criminal or person you are defending yourself from will be armed. If people can conceal carry, like the police officer, protecting and defending yourself and removing these situations would be much easier. After all the public shootings lots are living in terror and that is not a part of the American dream. You should be able to feel safe and protected while chasing your dreams, so if people could conceal carry there would be assure protection.
Carrying weapons is a simple right of American citizens, and outlawing it is a violation of the constitutional rights of the people. The chance to carry a concealed firearm, makes it possible and easier for citizens defend themselves in a every way possible against all crimes.
In conclusion, I strongly believe that citizens without criminal backgrounds should be able to carry concealed handguns. Considering that it is the constitutional right that we have the right to keep and bear arms, that is a right the government can’t take away from
