That being said, our product will need to be targeted towards families, mostly parents, because they will be the once preparing the food. Dinner’s Done also is quick meal to whip up, which any parents whose worked all day loves to hear. So as we prepare to sell the product, targeting towards business parents with a couple of young ones running around would be the ideal candidate. But which medium should we use to promote awareness and then interest of the Dinner’s Done product?
There is television, online, or print. Out of these three mediums it’s easy to knock print out of the running. When everyone’s home from school or work, the whole family is chilling out in front of the television and waiting and or watching their favorite episodes that they can’t miss. Dinner’s Done creates an easy-to-prepare meal where the cook doesn’t have to miss a beat. Targeting our potential consumers on television is also cost effective, this is because we are able to send the same message to all members of the family using one medium. Using television as our medium will help control the company’s budget restriction also by being able to create one commercial and supplying it to consumers over and over again until interest starts declining. This being said, getting the potential customers interest through a television commercial is also hard work

Television is one of the most dominating forms of communication in the world. In any first-world country, it would be surprising to hear of someone who doesn 't have a TV or have access to a TV. In Australia, people watch up to 6 hours of TV daily (Screen Australia, 2013). With this sort of attention, it 's only natural that businesses would utilise it to advertise their products, and as this and other technologies evolves it makes it far easier to access other markets that would have been unavailable in the past. You're thrown down hard onto an old rotten stump, dazed you look up and see a shiny object hurtling down towards your head then, *thwack* and the world suddenly turns dark. This is the life for millions of turkeys on Thanksgiving. Every Thanksgiving forty-five million turkeys are mercilessly slaughtered and that's only on one day and twenty-two million turkeys are killed on Christmas. Turkeys shouldn’t be slaughtered on Thanksgiving or any other time really because even though eating turkey gives you necessary nutrients turkeys also speed up the timeline for meeting death and causes health problems. Turkeys are treated cruelly and are mutilated because turkeys are not protected by any laws saying they can’t be abused or hurt. Finally lots of turkey farmers inject turkeys with growth hormones, in order to stunt their growth so they can make more money off of them.…

She was never married, as she knew the restrictions of a married woman at the time, but had a relationship with John J. Elwell. Due to the financial crisis there have been many changes made to government programs to reduce costs and help with debt. Many of these cuts are happening statewide, in America’s public schools. The first programs that are being cut are the art programs, and the excuse is that the core classes are more important. The argument is that children need to be more focused on test scores in Math, Science, English and History. It is unfair to single out art classes, there should be a more even spread of budget cuts, not just the sole elimination of the arts. There are parents who are indifferent with the arts and they are unfazed by their removal from elementary public schools. What many of these parents do not recognize is that there are actually benefits of the arts that help with core subjects. Some benefits are strengthening problem solving skills, stimulating critical thinking and helping developmental growth. There is also a duel component that shows that there is a direct correlation between SAT test scores and art programs in schools, as well as higher participation and attendance. It has also been shown that the arts can help boost the economy.…

This is not your typical Thanksgiving guide. We are not the Food Network so we will not talk about how to cook a Thanksgiving feast. This is more about the behind the scenes footage of Thanksgiving. Instead of what to cook, I want to tap into those holiday nuances like your Mother and Aunt, arguing over who’s making the dressing this year, or the Uncle that has to bring a different woman to dinner every year because he is still trying to get under Aunt Margaret’s skin. You'll get rules on hosting a party, should you bring something if invited, how involved do you want your husband to be, and so on. Here is the rundown of the Do’s and Don’ts of Thanksgiving.…

Get down...set...hut hut. The lights turn on, the gridiron tended to, and the footballs are inflated. For three nights a week American’s gather around the TV, grab finger foods, and watch players of the National Football League put their skills to work. While viewers seem to never tire of the multiple night event for thirteen weeks straight, critics argue the NFL needs to ex one of these nights completely. The recent controversy concerning Thursday Night Football is best handled through elimination. Elimination of the extra night of playing time as a whole solves concerns of injury, not enough preparation time for each game, and brand saturation. Many players, coaches, and fans have spoken out about their opinions concerning this issue, yet the biggest common issue remains as the extra risk of injury Thursday Night Football offers. Moreover, Thursday Night Football simply offers more for coaches to complain about and less time for teams to prepare for each game (Brown np).…

Online, physically, or verbally you can be a victim of being bullied. You don’t have to keep things as they are. The question is how to handle the situation (Do you attack the bully and become the bully yourself? Or do you ignore the bully and pretend all is well?) What you do is speak up and ask for help. I would know, because not only was I a victim, I was also a person who stood by and simply watched it happen.…

The state of school lunches has been a point of debate for many since Michelle Obama’s Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act signed into law December of 2010, giving full authority to the USDA in setting the nutritional standards for all foods regularly sold in school lunch lines, stores, and vending machines. The law was set to provide additional funding to meet the updated standards, however, the cost was severely underestimated. Using data provided by Medicaid, eligibility for the free or reduced school lunch programs has seen a definite increase, although participation has not (Lee, 2010). In a press release, U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services Kathleen Sebelius was quoted saying “The Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act is a significant step forward in our effort to help America's children thrive and grow to be healthy adults... By increasing the number of students eligible to enroll in school meal programs and improving the quality of food served, this legislation simultaneously tackles both hunger and the obesity levels currently affecting too many communities across this nation.” I would like to draw attention to her careful wording of “...step forward in our effort...” A subject as incredibly important as the nutrition of…

Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays of the year. After all it’s the time of year for family and celebration. For some families it’s just another excuse to get together eat good food and enjoy each other’s company. Thanksgiving is a particularly interesting holiday because most men end up in front of the television and the women are the ones in the kitchen. There is certainly a gender divide that arises around the holidays. Most women don’t sit down until the meal is on the table. The average wife spends her entire day preparing for guest, feeding and satisfying family members. For most men it’s a day of relaxation on the on the other hand, for the woman it’s a day of physical work.…
