If I continue to pursue my desire for cooking, I might even end up on television one day with my own cooking show! This would allow me to meet even more people because I would most likely be famous. Being a cook on television would also help inspire other families to try to cook in their homes with my recipes. Overall, cooking is a great way to make new …show more content…

Rarely do I ever cook, so doing it for the first time seems really fun! When I do something nice for someone or something else, I feel much happier on the giving side as opposed to the receiving end. This can be compared to american football, when the quarterback passes the ball to the wide receiver. Some people believe that Sea World is a greedy, profit-seeking organization that couldn’t care less about the treatment and well-being of their animals, but the truth is, the animals are in the best possible care. If the orcas or any other animal at Sea World were anywhere else, they would not get the attention and care they need to survive. Sea World’s reputation was tarnished severely by the documentary, Blackfish, in 2013. “This documentary claims that life at Sea World is cruel and harsh for both the trainers and the whales and that they have attempted to cover up the truth about many incidents involving their whales; both are false (Truth About Blackfish, Sea World Cares.com). Kyle Kittleson, a former marine mammal trainer for Sea World, states, “the documentary, Blackfish, is about 15% correct; one of those facts being in Sea Worlds earlier times, like the 60’s and 70’s, people had a different…

While we believe these animals are happy and enjoy the attention, Blackfish has given us reasons not to believe the false advertisement. While comparing these animals to the wild, we see that they are not as free as they should be and deserve to live in their natural habitat. One of the animals that the film focuses on are killer whales, also known as orcas, which are massive animals that like to swim for miles a day not just in circles which is what they do at SeaWorld. After watching Blackfish, I hope viewers are as sickened as I was and vow to never go.…

By learning about a food, you can’t just know how it will taste. By doing research you may learn about what’s in it or how it’s made. When I went to a cheer competition with my friend, we stayed at her Aunt’s house. Her aunt made a different kind of pie, I had never heard of it. My friend and her mom explained it to me and they were looking up things about it. When we got to her house and I actually tried it, it was really gross. It was not at all like I expected.…

Technology has given humans numerous advantages. One advantage, in particular, is the improvement in the way we think that results in a change in the way we learn. Although this advantage is very helpful in today’s world, there is a downside in its effect on the environment and our future. When militaries started occupying land, they began to enforce their own culture upon that land. This included using the military’s technology to advance civilization. Even though technology has made significant advancements and improvements in life, one must also consider how technology has hurt the environment. In the article “Which Species Will Live?” Michelle Nijhuis explains how technology has led to the important moral issue of whether or not to focus on saving one species at the cost of ignoring another and let it fall victim to extinction. David Foster Wallace’s article “Consider the Lobster” deals with the Maine Lobster Festival and shows how technology has led…
