Persuasive Essay On Nonprofit Communication
Popular columnist of Entrepreneur magazine, Erika Napoletano once said, “People don’t do business with logos, with colors, with Twitter or Facebook…they do business with PEOPLE.” Even though she was addressing business overall, non profits must always remember no matter what, their target and goal will always be the people. The people, who are behind their causes and the people, who give willingly to their cause. However, when dealing with nonprofit communication, some may say that it’s impossible to do that when you practically have no budget. How does one effectively present the identity of their organizations? We will look at some alternative ways of communicating with a limited budget as well as an understanding of what it takes. To better understand …show more content…
Our first effective communication would be social media. In the last few years, phones, tablets, and computers have become a central source of communication and have given way to the world of social sites such as Facebook, Instagram, Vine, Youtube and etc. So a great way and current way, a nonprofit can communicate to it’s potential donors or volunteers would be social media campaigns. These campaigns help to retain a following, in hopes of launching fully the cause or mission of one’s organization. Another cheap form of communication would be to come to places such as fairs, community gatherings, and malls to promote the brand. In particular, as an example, you can look at the girl scouts. A very known non profit organization whose mission is to “build girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place.” Through social gatherings, stem programs, and especially their delightful cookies. The same cookies that every year, they stand throughout the country at different places selling and ultimately helping to contribute to their fund raising

Addressing the funding of nonprofits in today’s environment requires creativity. Government funding cuts play a major role in a non-profits currently surviving on a safety net established with the Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (Senior Homes). Nonprofits also often receive state funds; with the recent economic downturn the groups receiving state support are receiving less funding and the money sent is often in the rears. As state and federal budget cuts loom, resources for nonprofits must rely on the private sector for funding and support. From 1999 to 2009 there was a 31% increase in nonprofit organizations according to the latest data (Charitable Statistics). With this increase in nonprofit organizations, there is a more competitive market for the allotted monies from both public and private resources which cause straining in the market. Organizations must think outside the box to pursue fundraising and awareness to their cause and campaign to differentiate themselves from those with similar missions in such a competitive market. Streamlining data and administrative processes are underway with many nonprofits. Not possessing the funding to develop a digital presence can also cause funding to move slowly since online marketing is a way to raise awareness and attention to potential funding sources.…

Not-for-profit organization’s primary goal “is not to increase shareholder value; rather it is to provide some socially desirable need on an ongoing basis. It generally lacks the financial flexibility of a commercial enterprise because it depends on resource providers that are not engaging in an exchange transaction. The resources provided are directed towards providing goods or services to a client other than the actual resource provider. Thus the not-for-profit must demonstrate its stewardship of donated resources —money donated…

Fundraising for a nonprofit organization in a weak economy is very uncertain; not many individuals or businesses have the financial means to lend money. Thus, it is imperative to use all approaches to fundraising. Fundraising for a nonprofit organization typically involves applying for loans, grants, and using other forms of government and public assistance. When implementing non-traditional approaches to fundraising, it is important to use every possible means of government assistance, community support, and family contribution methods because there are limited the country’s economic status.…

“The best wat to not feel hopeless is to get up and do something. Don’t wait for good things to happen to you. If you go out and make some good things happen, you will fill the world with hope, you will fill yourself with hope.” – Barack Obama. The little boy Trevor wants to start a movement called pay it forward, were one person helps another person and that one person has to help out three other people and so forth. Clarissa Harlowe "Clara" Barton was a pioneer nurse who founded the American Red Cross. In addition to being a hospital nurse, she worked as a teacher, patent clerk, and humanitarian. At a time when relatively few women worked outside the home, Barton built a career helping others. She was never married, as she knew the restrictions of a married woman at the time, but had a relationship with John J. Elwell. During the end of the American Civil War, Barton worked at a hospital she made helping the people at the Andersonville prison camp where 13,000 people died.…

“We make a living by what we do, but we make a life by what we give.” While brainstorming ideas for this essay I came across this quote by Winston Churchill. Even if you are making a good living for yourself, you should always take time out of your day to give back; you never know when you might need someone to help you out. Volunteering my time to my community has always been something I’ve made time for. Not only does volunteering help others, but it can affect your own character. By volunteering you learn social skills, gain work experience, and if you are lucky enough, it will change your life.…

Online, physically, or verbally you can be a victim of being bullied. You don’t have to keep things as they are. The question is how to handle the situation (Do you attack the bully and become the bully yourself? Or do you ignore the bully and pretend all is well?) What you do is speak up and ask for help. I would know, because not only was I a victim, I was also a person who stood by and simply watched it happen.…

Persuasive Essay : Many people would be happy and satisfied if they were in a relationship with money and fame. Doesn't that seem like the perfect life? Everyone begins to think that in life that's all that matters, and that's all they need, nothing could be better. Society dictates our morals, feelings, the way we do things and try's to tell us certain things we do are wrong and we need to do them the way they feel necessary. Our generations to come will have no clue what the meaning of a true, harmonious, happy life. They begin to think that not telling the truth is ok , and eventually get so use to it that even if they could hear the truth they wouldn't want to. It becomes part of their daily life. Clearly our society, or government has their own sneaky, conniving ways to try and brain wash everyone. Due to the problem that most people would rather have love, money, and fame, it's very rare to find some one who doesn't have any of that but is satisfied with only knowing the truth. People look up to celebrities, but they do not set good examples or try to be role models. In proposing a solution to the problem of adhering to the actions of celebrities, the analysis relates to Henry David Thoreau's belief in individuality as he talked about in his book Walden. Who is your hero? Usually the answer to this question, at least for many of us, involves a famous actor or singer, a celebrity. The celebrities of the world are the wealthiest, most beautiful and most stylish individuals to walk upon the planet. These icons, however, seem to have no moral dilemma whatsoever with corrupting the public. They are role models to the public, just as parents are role models to their children. Children mirror the actions of their parents, as does society the actions of celebrities. Suddenly, few people in the world are content because they do not live the same lifestyle as Madonna or Michael Jordan. Henry David Thoreau offers solutions in his work, Walden, to the constant societal…
