Persuasive Essay On Pay It Forward
“The best wat to not feel hopeless is to get up and do something. Don’t wait for good things to happen to you. If you go out and make some good things happen, you will fill the world with hope, you will fill yourself with hope.” – Barack Obama. This quote by Barack Obama, relates to the movie Pay It Forward by Mimi Leder made in 2000, in the way that Trevor did not wait for good to happen to him, he just went out and started helping out. The little boy Trevor wants to start a movement called pay it forward, were one person helps another person and that one person has to help out three other people and so forth. It all started from Mr. Simonet class where he asked his students about what is one thing they would like to do if they could make the world a better place. Trevor’s option was the pay it forward movement. In real life pay it forward could actually work, but we need that one person to be brave enough like Trevor to actually start it. We are all taught to work for other people and do not start anything big and always be a follower instead of a starter. Just like the movie there needs to be a person to start it. If a person actually starts it, in the current society we have this would actually work great in our current generation, there are a lot of good people who are willing to do good things for other people, if they are introduced to this movement it would encourage everyone to help those three other people, which is not a lot that is being asked by this movement. We also cannot give up on the movement, just like the movie where Trevor never gives up on the movement, he believed in it so much that he kept on going after seeing Jerry not being honest to his promise. With someone starting it and not giving up on the movement the pay it forward could actually work in our society for the reasons that was stated
