My campaign will take place in schools all over the country and can include elementary, middle, and high schools. My campaign will have lecturers to educate the students about how smoking damages the body and victims of smoking-related illnesses to dramatize the damage caused to individuals. Lecturing students this way will be much more effective because they will see damage with their eyes and not just listen to a lecture through their ears. Hearing a victim talk about how smoking changed their lives will hopefully help draw students away from the idea of smoking. Additionally, I want people to be able to see the organ damage caused by smoking first hand. To do this, I would have props of lungs sent to schools displaying how a smoker’s lungs look like compared to a nonsmoker’s. Further, I would have the schools put up posters throughout the building with facts about smoking and images of damage that smoking causes. This way, the dangers of smoking will be fresh in their mind during the week of the event and they will think about it constantly. Hopefully, the dangers and damage of smoking they saw will be imprinted in their brain so that the day they are asked to try a cigarette, they decline.
