Our founding fathers once stated, "All men are created equal. They are endowed by their Creator with certain inalienable rights, among these are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness" (source 1). Meanwhile, our government is allowing this slaughter of innocence, even though our founding fathers once immorality stated everyone has the gift of life. Abortion is the murder of our young and should be …show more content…
illegal because no matter what, it specifically kills off voiceless, fully-human people. By definition, abortion is a medical procedure used to end a pregnancy and cause the death of the fetus. (source 2). What is the difference between murdering a person and the killing of a living fetus? There are no dissimilarities distinguishing one from another rather than age. Some may argue that intentional death brought upon an undeveloped baby is not a case of murder. However, the majority of abortions, 91 percent, take place anywhere from 5-13 weeks. It has been proven that the day the fetus forms it is alive; proving that the killing of a fetus is by definition, murder. In general, killing a human being is considered murder and is a felony by law.
As Mother Teresa argued, “If we accept that a mother can kill her own child, how can we tell other people not to kill each other. Any country that accepts abortion is not teaching its people to love, rather, to use violence to get what they want (source 3).” What peace in the world does abortion resemble if a loving mother can murder her own baby? Abortion destroys peace throughout people by encouraging the thought that killing is perfectly fine. By allowing abortion to be a legal process, it allows the mother to kill the unborn gift of god that was meant to be loved and disperse harmony. Some people may argue the birth of a baby is completely the mother's choice, however, the situation could have been avoided in the first place and no peace would be destroyed. In general, avoiding abortions would maintain a more stable and peaceful environment for people to live in.
Furthermore, abortion encourages unprepared humans of young age to have sex without protection by giving them the option to “redo” or delete their “mistake.” 52% of abortions occur during the ages 15-24, showing the majority of abortions take place when the parents are not ready for a kid (source 4).
By illegalizing the option of abortion, it would show people that abstinence is extremely important by demonstrating there would be no way to terminate their baby. Also, by waiting to have a kid until a ready-parenthood is in place, most abortions would be avoided and a more superior childhood would happen. It is often thought that sometimes it isn’t the parents fault for having the kid and leading to a future abortion. However, if abstinence was used, countless amounts of money and the abortion itself would have been avoided in the first place. In general, if abortion is illegalized, it would encourage people to wait to have a kid until ready to take care of the baby.
In addition, abortion murders babies with amazing potential without giving them the gift of life and sharing their great purpose with the world. If the baby is aborted, one would never knows if they were to kill the baby that was destined to find the cure for Cancer. Abortion needs to be illegalized because it breaks our founding father’s laws, it is a slaughter of peace and innocence, and it induces unprepared people to engage in sexual activity by giving them the option to “redo” their
mistake.
