Persuasive Speech Against Abortion Essay
Today my persuasive speech is for abortions to remain legal. No matter what the situation is, a woman should have the right to decide what she wants to do with her body. Legal abortions are the safe way to terminate a pregnancy, most Prolife Activist are religious and their beliefs are based on their God’s 10 commandments, and forcing a woman to go through with an unwanted pregnancy is an act of taking away a woman’s bodily freedom. If abortion was to become illegal women seeking termination of their pregnancy will eventually turn to black marketing. If one turn to black marketing for termination of pregnancy it’s no guarantee of their safety and privacy. According to the website Huffingtonpost.com’s article “The Return of the Back-Alley …show more content…
That’s like forcing a woman to choose pads over tampons if you ask me. Meaning it’s their bodies and they should have the right to determine what they will like to do with it. Sure there are some people that go through with abortion and regret it but it’s their decision that they must face. Just like I regret not studying more for a class but that was my decision that I made and a decision I must deal with. However, just because some people regret their abortion it doesn’t mean that others that get abortions regret theirs as well. That’s similar to asking one person to speak for how everyone of their ethnicity feel on a certain topic, when not everyone of that race has the same views. Every individual is different and unique and handle things differently.
The next time someone decides to protest against abortion they should remember why it became legal. Abortions should remain legal because it’s a choice and should not be debated on because it’s not as if women are being forced by law to have abortions. However, making abortions illegal forces women to get it done through black markets or to just go through unwanted pregnancies; all because of religious beliefs when stated in the 1st amendment one has the freedom of religion. Why should all women have to be spoken for on the behalf of Christians and other women regretting their

Imagine a young child at the playground, slipping down a slide, swinging on the monkey bars, and laughing with glee. When a mother decides to get an abortion, that entire image goes away with a blink of an eye. What that mother might not know is her child might be the next person to cure cancer or be the greatest movie star of all time. The public is divided on this issue and they do not know if one should be pro-life or pro-choice. People that believe in pro-choice think the decision should be up to the mother. It is the mother’s body and she should have the right to decide what happens to it. However, every life matters and the child should not be in the cross fire of the mother’s decision. Abortion violates the child’s right to live and…

One of the most controversial issues today is the topic of abortion. For many years people have been debating over whether abortions should be legal or not. There are two sides to this debate. Those who are pro-choice, do not think that a fetus is a living human being yet with a right to live. They believe it is entirely up to a woman to choose what she does with her own body (Being Pro-Choice). Those people who are pro-life argue otherwise. They believe that abortion is wrong and should be made completely illegal. I am one of them people who are pro-life. Having an abortion is the same as killing another human. It is inhumane, it is a sin,…

Women have the right do kill a pre-mature life, it is a part of her body, and it’s a reproductive right that Planned Parenthood is trying to protect. The general populous can do something help and one way to help protect them is by not thinking of abortion when Planned Parenthood is brought up. Another way to help Planned Parenthood and maybe have government funding be returned to them. Abortion is a right, not a government tool to choose if it’s right or…

How would it be like if you weren’t allowed to choose what happens to your future? Some women do not get the luxury of choosing for themselves due to some laws set and they do not get the option whatsoever. That should be different as women are the ones who carry the babies, not the ones who are voting against it. Even though the baby never had the chance to live life, women should have the right to choose what they want to do with their baby because it may be bad for the women herself to have to care of a baby, they may not be prepared for a baby, and we do not know their circumstances of the situation.…

Abortion is an on-going debate throughout the United States. Americans divide 50% as pro-choice and 44% on pro-life. (Saad, 2015) Majority of women side with pro-choice, and being a woman myself, I stand with pro-choice. I believe that it’s an individual’s right to decide what they’re doing to their bodies, and no one else should be allowed to deny them of said right. There are many different reasons as to why someone would get an abortion. Whether it be from results of rape, birth control failure, teen pregnancy, or whatever the case may be, every abortion is thought out and no option is an easy option.…

Whoever assists in the act of abortion must be sentenced. Do not let the thought of mercy corrupt your minds, for if an abortionist were granted acquittal, his detestable work will be encouraged instead of outlawed. ( Consequence ) The abortionist does not only harm one, but instead causes suffering and loss to many, even the judges who consider his case; for the judge's own grandchildren could fall to the same fate others have if the abortionist is not found guilty. ( Aequipollentia ) ( Expediency )…

Due to unwanted pregnancies and financial distress, many children are often mistreated and neglected which leads to the idea of abortion as the right decision. Mistreatment and neglect to the child may occur from the mother because the child resembles his or her father, which will be a continuous reminder of what happened (Meehan, Mary 1). It is also not right for a woman to have to go through full-term pregnancy with a child that has been conceived through rape (Maheen, Mary 3). Abortion is necessary for women who have fallen victim to rape or for women who are not financially able to support a family.…

Pro-choice people, people that are for abortion, give many reasons why abortion is a good choice. They say that if a girl was raped and left alone, meaning that there will be no “father” and she is immature, irresponsible, and of coarse inexperienced why would there be a reason to let her have the child. The child will be born in a place with no love, and it will suffer because it will not receive the attention it wants or needs. They also say that a woman has the right to do whatever she wants to her body. If a girl gets pregnant and does not want the child she is “free” to do go ahead and abort it, it’s her choice. People that support abortion also say that the fetus is not a “human” yet until it is almost born.…

The topic of abortion has long since been debated about whether or not it is morally just, but, now with the progression of science and technology, it can be inspected with more fact and less emotion. It has gone on for far too long that those who are pro-choice can let their emotions become apart of their argument. Unfortunately, the ability to choose abortion, when made legal due to the ruling from Roe v. Wade (History of Abortion, n.d., p.1), has been legal for so long it is extremely unlikely that it could be overturned. One more factor that makes abortion so difficult to overturn in court is the large amount of support that it receives throughout the United States. This legalized killing of unborn children should, at the very least, be…
