Scheduling a dental check-up before the school year starts is really important! It should be a part of your back-to-school routine. It's really important to get your two dental checkups every year so that your teeth stay healthy and you don't develop unwanted cavities.

As a parent, it's really important to create a routine for your children to brush their teeth and floss twice a day, daily. You want to instill good habits into your children, and good dental hygiene is definitely a good habit. It's also important that you supervise the way that your children brush and floss, so you can make sure that they're doing it

Kids can get seriously injured during sports, and it's really important that they wear mouth guards to protect their teeth at all times. You can feel better about your kids playing sports, and your child can also feel safer knowing that he or she has in a mouth guard and that there is no opportunity for injury.

Lastly, make sure that you pack healthy lunched for your kids to that way their teeth remain healthy. It's a good idea to put floss in their lunchboxes as well, so that way they can floss after lunch anything gets stuck in their teeth.

When scheduling dentist appointments, you should always schedule them far in advance to ensure that you get the time and day you want. Back-to-school dentist appointments fill up really quickly, and if you schedule the appointment months in advance, you can avoid having to wait a long period of time before you see the dentist.
