Philadelphia, PA- The Phanatic Fan gear store will sell the original 1935 Phillies jerseys at all store locations starting Nov. 1 for a limited time.
The MLB’s Merchandise Executive John Dare stated, “Old school baseball jerseys reflect the history of baseball in America. Purchasing throwback jerseys allows people to collect the different styles throughout the time periods and to preserve the history of baseball over the years.”
Authentic wool flannel material is used to replicate the jerseys to match the exact style of the 1935 baseball season. To recreate how uniforms were made in the past, Phantatic Phan Gear will use the original wool blend materials of the 1930’s. It will also feature the exact same logo, stitching, and colors as the original. The jerseys sold will be of notable player’s on the team that season. These player’s include Ethan Allen, Phil Collins, and George Watkins. Phanatic Fan Gear is only offering them for a limited time. The availability of the limited edition jersey will be until the end of December. The company is offering the jersey to commemorate the end of the 78th anniversary that these jerseys had the original Phillies logo.
