I believe the purposes of education is to teach the children to do the best they can at everything they do. It 's important to let the children know when they make mistakes to learn from them, and to let them know that they will be loved, even if they make mistakes. Each and every child should experience a positive approach of teaching from mistakes rather than negative. As children no matter the age they remember things; wouldn’t it be better for them to remember the positive approach of teaching them from the mistake then the negative. To make the children feel safe, and secure in their environment and to let them know how important they are. Children learn best in an environment that promotes learning. The features of a good learning environment are being organized, structured, and letting the children know they are loved for who they are and that no favoritism is shown. There are several ways that children can learn, and some of these are working in smaller groups. If the children are working in a smaller group they will be able to find new ways to solve their problems by using different strategies, and this will help them gain their independence. Children learn by doing, and understanding what needs to be done. Another area that I use are flashcards showing exactly what they need to do, and it helps the children understand what they will be doing throughout the day. This encourages the children to focus on the pictures and to learn exactly what each and every picture means. The curriculum that we use should not only help the children in physical development, social development, but will help their intellectual development. These basics include age appropriate learning activities, art projects, these projects engage the children and encourage them to learn from what are seeing and touching.
