While there are different positions one can work toward in that field, my goal is to become a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT), who can oversee patients and other therapists. To acquire a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree, I would be in school for about six years. Referring to my preferred field of study, physical therapy combines both classroom and clinical experience. While I will receive all the necessary preliminary knowledge in the classroom, I can then apply it during my internship when I shadow a fellow physical therapist. Educated people can take the world into their hands and make it their own. “Knowledge is power,” and education empowers people by enabling them to lead and teach others.
