Jack Kilby Jack Kilby had a normal childhood with a family that helped him get to where is his today. He was born on November 8, 1923 in Jefferson City, Missouri. Soon after he was born he moved to Kansas, where he was officially raised. His father was Hubert Kilby and he managed a local electric utility which greatly influenced Jack Kilby to be an Inventor and engineer today. His mom was Vina Kilby and his sister was Jane Kilby. Jack Kilby joined the Us, Army in 1941 and was there until 1947. He was in the Office of Strategic Services. Jack Kilby’s education made him very successful in life. After 8 months of living in Lamar, the family decided to move to Harrisonville, Missouri. There, his mother gives birth to 2 children, John Vivian Truman in 1886, and Mary Jane Truman in 1889. Truman never attended college, but worked a variety of jobs throughout high school. In 1905, he enrolled into the missouri court guard and served until 1911.     Last week we went to the Phoenix Theatre in Leister Square to see Blood Brothers. When we walked into the theatre, I noticed that the proscenium arch stage was slanted which put everything on the stage in perspective. There was no live orchestra, and all the sound travelled easily throughout the room as it was quite a small theatre. Before the play, I had been told that the story was based in Liverpool and I had high expectations as it is one of the longest-running musicals in the West End. Behind the gauze, I could see the backdrop which was mostly grey and had houses and other buildings on it. It looked as if the scene was set in the heart of Liverpool. Due to the artwork on the programs, it was obvious that this production would be about the life of two brothers, and the different ways in which they grow up.
