Poem Analysis: Good Bones

"This place could be beautiful, right? You could make this place beautiful." - Maggie Smith, Good Bones. This poem is the kind that speaks to you with the truth and leaves you with hope. Sometimes we might think that the world we live in is cruel and completely destroyed; irremediable. But we are wrong, we have the power to change our world and make it a better place. All we have to do is take one step at a time; help an old lady cross the street, talk to that lonely guy/girl who sits at the corner of the classroom, help out in your community etc. Those little type of gestures are the ones that make a bigger difference. We cant also forget that for every bad thing, theirs a good thing. We will always have one thing to look forward to.
