How do you or how would you react under intense stressful situations? On a scale between one to ten what is your comfortably level of interacting with different races?
What are some events that has happen to you? or you have seen in your community or outside your communities that has made you want to change that situation by becoming a police officer? The things I would look for in a candidate background would be if they had any prior convictions, their education level and employment history.
Immediate disqualifiers: a criminal record, mentally and physically unstable and racial, religious or gender basis.
Yes I would use a polygraph test to have a more general
idea of the candidates character but I would not put to much emphasis into the results.
I would have some specific requirements as far as age, physical fitness or education is concerned. The candidates should have a level of physical fitness or be able to pass physical exam in order to do their job seeing as this is a physical job. Be at least twenty-one in age, have a high school diploma or a GED and have one to two years of college.
