Polyethylene Terephthalate Lab Report
This experiment was catalyzed by some Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET) bottle problems documented by the company. In order to prevent the loss of a customer, our goal is to analyze PET bottles, preforms, and storage conditions. After heating a bottle and preform to one-hundred and eighty degrees Celsius, the bottle shrank and became opaque on the top and bottom of the bottle. The preform became completely opaque and kept its original size and shape. The Differential Scanning Calorimeter (DSC) provided the heat of crystallization, heat of fusion, and glass transition temperature for PET bottle samples. The average glass transition temperatures for the top portion of an uncrystallized top and uncrystallized side are 80.605 +/- 1.1 Celsius and

Two equations are known to be equivalent if they have the same solution set. A solution set is a set of numbers that that solve an algebraic equation. In the first equation, the solution set is {5}.
