Polyphemus In The Odyssey
In the story of the Odyssey, Polyphemus is a cyclops that has one eye on his forehead that is blinded because of Odysseus. Odysseus is the king of his home, Ithaca, that is on a journey to get back to Ithaca with his crew after they fought in a war. He has faced many challenges on this journey that caused his character to be less desirable. Also he has lots of hair like most of the other cyclops do too, and really tall. His personality is he is not very smart, greedy, and loves to eat human flesh. An important part is mentioned in the story about how his father is Poseidon, a god of the sea, and Polyphemus loves him.
Polyphemus gathers his stuff and gets on a boat and tells Poseidon to help him find Odysseus and his crew. Polyphemus finds
