Pondo Ng Pinoy
• How did Pondo ng Pinoy transform you as a person?
Pondo ng Pinoy has transformed me as an individual by making me a more improved Christian or a more enhanced follower of Jesus because with Pondo ng Pinoy, I can be capable of and will be able to help out those citizens who are very much in need of these money that we put inside the Pondo ng Pinoy bottle. The amount of the money we put in may have a small amount of value, but it doesn’t stop us from making other people’s lives worth living because no matter how small or little the amount in total is, as long as we do it on a regular basis that becomes our habitual act in our everyday life and it will be a significant part of our lives. Pondo ng Pinoy has given me an opportunity to let a large number of people have one more chance to make their own living, to let me lend a hand to those who are really in need to reconstruct their own upcoming future and to make them once feel that they really are and will always be welcome to come back to the Christian community- especially to those individuals who were about to let go of their faith because they had thought that nobody else cared for them-, and make themselves financially, spiritually and physically independent and I can be of assistance to a whole lot more to people. With Pondo ng Pinoy, I have helped those children who want to have a better education and for those children to get to have an education that they have longed for. I have helped those people- who are less fortunate- to have their own micro-finance businesses and micro-enterprise businesses that they couldn’t do without the help of Pondo ng Pinoy. I have helped people to be healthier to live in a better surrounding, to have a better atmosphere and to feel more secure. I have helped people to have their own place to live where their family can call it home. It transformed me to be more sensitive in other people’s needs. It made me realize all the blessings that I have received from God, and that I am

In the 1600s, colonists from England decided to leave their homeland to travel to America or “the New World.” The two regions the colonists mostly settled in were the New England area and the Chesapeake area. Although New England and the Chesapeake region were both settled largely by the people of English origin, by 1700 the regions evolved into two distinct societies. This difference occurred because the New England colonies was based off of escaping religious persecution while the Chesapeake colonies was based off of profiting of natural resources.…

There is widespread literature arguing that the millennial generation is more self-promoting and egotistical as a population than the previous generations. Dr. Jean M. Twenge has drawn significant media attention to this presumed shift in psychology with two books, Generation Me released in 2006 and The Narcissism Epidemic: Living in the Age of Entitlement in 2009; the former sold over 100,000 copies. Both books compile surveys from around 1950 to present on personality traits regarding self-esteem, assertion, and narcissism. Upon analysis, the book highlights statistics that pose the millennial generation as being significantly more narcissistic (about 30% more) than college students in the 1950’s to 1970’s. This has sparked a slew of media debate regarding the cause for the personality shift Dr. Twenge has presented to society. Consequently, there have also been several discussions and academic research on the recent outbreak of social media networks being correlated with this alteration in psychology. The synthesis of these two media phenomena has led to an argument for the medicalization of millennial generational psychopathologies caused by social media networks.…

Even though my lack of hearing and understanding Thai, this one song that the little children were heartily singing with their little mouths and voices surrounded me like a warm breeze. The words said, “My great God is always by my side,” and I was able to know that the children were praising the Lord with sincere hearts and artless souls and that God loved them as His very own children. This brought tears to my eyes and my heart was magnetized toward them because if the almighty God loves them how could I not love them? That moment, the distance that I put between the little children and myself vanished and I was overwhelmed with an earnest love toward them. I knew that it was the love of God pouring down on them through me. As I was teaching, their sweet smiles and their eagerness to learn enraptured my…

In this letter he emphasizes different points. One is that Filipino mothers should teach her children love of God, country and fellowmen. Filipino mothers should be glad and honored, like Spartan mothers, to offer their sons in defense of their country. Filipino women should know how to protect their dignity and honor. They should educate themselves aside from retaining their good racial values. Faith is not merely reciting prayers and wearing religious pictures. It is living the real Christian way with good morals and manners.…

In mathematics, a rational function is any function which can be defined by a rational fraction, i.e. an algebraic fraction such that both the numerator and the denominator are polynomials. The coefficients of the polynomials need not be rational numbers, they may be taken in any field K. In this case, one speaks of a rational function and a rational fraction over K. The values of the variables may be taken in any field L containing K. Then the domain of the function is the set of the values of the variables for which the denominator is not zero and the codomain is L. For example, a rational fraction in one variable over the rational numbers defines a complex function, which has the complex numbers as domain and codomain.…

As we were walking across the gates of DLSU, I felt uneasy because I didn’t know what to expect from the immersion in barangay 704. The villagers welcomed us when we reached their place. Me and my partner volunteered to be assigned to the Muslim family in the barangay, because we wanted to experience and learn the things they do. When we were walking to their home we saw children playing and the elders smiled at us. Once we reached their home we felt at home because of the feeling of warmth to us. Their home is very small to which, you can only walk two steps. They are six in the family and Nanay Salud (our host parent) is married to a Christian man. She said that it was difficult because she was the only Muslim in the family, her children and husband go to mass separately. While she was away buying food for lunch, we played with the kids and I began to realize that life is simple: be happy and you will be fulfilled. We had fish galungong for lunch which was very good. After eating, we walked around the barangay with our host parent and we saw our fellow block mates with their host families. Then, we stopped at our friend’s host family’s house near our host house. We caught our friends singing karaoke as a result we joined them. But because of the lack of the time our singing was cut short because we had to go back to our meeting place. When we had settled down we began to reflect how their life and our life was different. We also thanked them for their hospitality they have given us. Once we reached DLSU we felt very tired but I said to myself it was worth it because of the lessons I’ve learned during our stay in the barangay, where I can use in my daily life to achieve my goals. Life isn’t all about money, it is about how you live your life with your friends, family and other people. Doing the right things in life instead of the wrong things will help us achieve our desired goals in life.…
