Population Diversity In America
Population diversity in America is huge since we consider the melting pot of the world. This is one place where we all are free without being prosecuted for who they are. Now I know that as I wrote that you might a went what, but that’s true. We are a country built on freedom of the sort. Diversity in the classroom impact on my student’s education is of the most important. The way we behave, learn and view the world is based on who we meet in life. Kids tend to become like copy cats to their friends and parents, monkey see monkey do. Also, how diverse a daycare is shown me how kids will preserve others as they get older. The best example I can find is how babies cry with each other, without knowing the other. It’s not until we put it into

As the United States become a more culturally and ethnically diverse nation, public schools are becoming more diverse, too. According to an article “Cultural Diversity” the article states that “The Census Bureau project that by the year 2100, the United States minority population will become the majority with non-Hispanic whites making up only 40% of the United States population” (Cultural Diversity, 2012.) There is no doubt that students will need to learn how to interact in a diverse environment. Jean Snell, is the clinical professor of teacher education at the University of Maryland, believes cultural diversity enhances the school experience. The diversity in the United States has helped me to better understand and relate to others in ways that I may not have in the past. I have learned much from this class and about myself that there is still discrimination and prejudice in the United States. I have learned that I need to take the time and to get to know a person before I make any judgments against them. There are so many different kinds of people in the United States with the different backgrounds. We do not need to discriminate against anyone until we can look at ourselves first to make sure we are clean. We need to look beyound the core of there skin and what they are wearing, and the way they talk. Since this class I have steped back and looked around to see how people act with each other some get along just fine then you have the few that you can tell are uncomfortable. I have learned that everyone needs to be treated as equals it does not matter what your age, race, gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, or disability. We just need to all get along and to educate others.…

Perhaps the most pivotal point of my education has been the diversity I am surrounded with. Attending one of the best high schools in the state has exposed me to vast diversity which challenged my beliefs and led me to mature faster than friends at other schools. For example, in one of my classes, the person on my left is Indian, the person behind me is Jamaican, and the person to my right is Bosnian. Cultural diversity is just the beginning. I am surrounded by some of the most talented people I have ever met who can make provoking art, choreograph beautiful dances, create city-wide magazines, win the Siemen’s competition, and much more. Diversity within education is essential to the growth of students. Being surrounded by people who think, act, and talk like you doesn’t teach students perspective. That is why I am grateful for opportunities like the Porter scholarship which gives talented students an opportunity to get scholarships and contribute to the diversity of the University of…

In an ideal world, humanity would understand that all mankind is created equally; that the underlying truth of each of us is goodness, and that through awareness, conscious choice and the willingness to create positive change, we could live in a world where diversity is celebrated. We would leave behind the substantial racist and oppressing patterns that exits in this world, specifically in the United States of America. It is said that the U.S. is a melting pot of cultures, and that we are a country of immigrants existing together as a new culture, living under the values of a democracy based on freedom, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Yet this policy is completely disregarding…

In simple terms, cultural diversity can be defined as the level of diversity or difference in a given society. Societies that display high levels of diversity exhibit many differences across that population. Differences can include skin color, religious affiliation, cultural practices and other ethnic beliefs and customs. Immigration is a major factor in determining the level of diversity that a given society is exposed to. Ever since the dawn of time, humans have traveled the globe in curiosity to interact with other civilizations. These interactions were either well intentioned to share and form partnerships, or militaristic conquests to expand territories and force populations to conform to foreign ideals. These such interactions helped to foster cultural diversity both genetically, as is the case with Attila the Hun, or substantively through the spread of cultural beliefs and practices worldwide.…

One thing all Americans have in common is diversity. Having diversity causes Americans to work together and form a bond and treat everyone as they would like to be treated. We also have our freedom in common. Everyone has rights of speech, religion, press, etc. so everyone can define who they are and who we will become. Everyone has different ideas as to what being an American means, but to me it means that we have individuality, that we take pride on our country, and that we can be opportunists.…

America means diversity. The fact that there is not even an official language, reminds us that this country throughout history has been shaped by immigrants from all over the world. As consequence, diversity lead us to judge and have stereotypes. Like animals, we label consider fellow human beings as non-part of our group. When we think we do not belong to our group, we reject and trend to deny their conditions and human dignity. History is a cruel teacher that shows us how it has come to violent movements such as genocide, deaths, and the extermination of the ones considered different.…
