The shapes of the wooden lights are inspired by common, everyday household items. Some of the designs were based on child spinning tops with similarities such as the grooves around the edges replicating the diverse spinning top designs from around the world, including a replica of the one which Leonardo Di Caprio spun in the movie Inception. The idea behind the designs was to pay homage to the famous designers Charles and Ray Earnes who played important roles inspiring Porky Hefer’s life. Fire Extinguishers
The fire extinguishers are designed to raise awareness of wild fires which have ruined huge amounts of fauna and flora across the Western Cape. The 70 extinguishers are placed at random on Table Mountain to Cape Point carved out of alien trees which were cleared out. The extinguishers have a written up blurb promoting fire wise behaviour. Porky co designed this work with Warren Lewis and they used deep red like original colouring with the black pipe making it a replica and the obvious boldness of normal fire extinguishers.

Incorporating wet fire extinguishing would serve to supplement other firefighting systems. My family does almost everything together and none of us can go longer than a week without talking to each other. My family is very important to me. The other reason being that the analysis states that I’m prone to being cautious to the point in which I struggle with trust. I consider myself to be quite trusting. I will not deny that I’m very cautious but it does not impair my ability to trust. All of the other characteristics were pretty…
