Going into this big commitment I knew the odds were against me. Jordan and I were the only two, on our dance team, that were not homeschooled. Later, as the year progressed, I soon discovered why almost all of my teammates were homeschooled. With seven days a week of training, thirty-five plus hours a week of dancing, last-minute changes, traveling for competitions, and the hour commute to get to the studio, I started to feel the pressure of juggling dance and public school. My hard head, stubbornness, and determination helped me to never give up. I developed various personality skills that will help me take on challenges that life will throw at me. Time management and prioritizing skills are one of the main reasons I got all A’s and one B in school that year.

I’ve had the privilege to take master classes from choreographers/dancers that have worked with Beyoncé, Justin Timberlake, Chris Brown, Jennifer Lopez, and more.
