Race, and the idea behind race and racism are constantly changing, whether it be for the good or for the bad. Today the view of different races has changed, and has caused people to act differently towards one another. After 9/11, the view of the Muslim race had changed completely. Today people view other people of the Muslin race differently because of the events that happened and the racist thoughts that are present. When people let the ideas behind racism to block their judgement, they begin to judge others based on their background as a whole, as opposed to the actions of the individual. People take what one person does and judge and discriminate against their entire race. It seems as if race is the first thing that people bring to light when oppositions or problems arise between people of different races. Recently in the media the shootings of people have been front and center for a while now, and it seems that the factor that the reporters face on is the race of the victim. The race of the person who has been shot, and the race of the person who shot the other person are the main focus of the reports, rather than the events that happened. Certain races, and the ideas about certain races can differ from person to person and even from country to country. Often times people are judged based on their racial background, and because of present racist ideologies, people are treated differently based on these thoughts and ideas. Maybe at some point in time a person’s race will not be a determining factor in the way we view and treat
