Prejudice is the process of “pre-judging” somebody without due examination or on the basis of incomplete information. It is an undeniable force within our society, so prevalent that it can be found within the most open-minded and enlightened individuals, subtly taking its toll despite the best of intentions. Instead of bringing or holding people together, prejudice pushes them apart. Many of the violent crimes that plague our society are a consequence of prejudice.
