Presidential Debate
Obama Nation! During the presidential debate, (Speakers) Barack Obama and Gov. Mitt Romney both plead their cases as to why they each felt they’d be great presidents (Message). Romney would like to get the chance to serve his first term as The United States President, and Obama would like to serve another term. These men rebottled their statements to prove to the world they were ready. Although I’m not able to vote, those key points changed my perspective of each.
The presidential debate was held at the Magnus Arena in Denver, Colorado (Situation). Both men spoke out to millions of citizen, whether it be republican, democrats, or you at home (Listeners). Filmed on stage, it was viewed by way of television broadcast (Channel). Even the people who could care less, like me, found this debate very interesting. And, although it peaked my interest, I still had to look at the key facts, and determine who I would like to be my president.
President Obama stated why and how he would lower tax rates for small businesses and middle class families. He also stated how he would change the tax coat, use savings to rebuild America, as well as become energy independent. Romney had some similar thoughts as well, but he also stated he would like to create more jobs and open more trade here in America. The men also agreed on the subject of education, and how they would get more funding and teachers in more schools. But, although they had many agreements, they also had some opinions on why each should get the position over the other.
President Barack Obama has a lot of people’s votes because he can relate. He grew up in somewhat of a similar lifestyle as most of us Americans. Romney on the other hand, was born and raised rich, so he can’t really relate. Most would also prefer Obama because of his views on gay marriage. We have more important things to worry about, yet Romney wishes to ban it, as if it affects our economy.
Each man stated some very interesting and important facts

Reasoning is a process we go through everyday. We reason weather we chose to eat an apple rather than a banana or if we should take the bus or walk. During the elections the American people seek reasoning on both sides: from themselves and from the candidates. The candidates for the election, Mitt Romney and President Barack Obama both interpret as much reasoning behind each argument to make it seem as realistic and achievable to the people. The voters apply reasoning to the arguments and plans put forward by the candidates to see which one seems to be most beneficial for their own interest as well as the interest of their families and that of the American population. In the first presidential debate, Mitt Romney was a key figure and was according to most Americans the dominant figure in the debate. He had…

The candidates I have picked for comparison are Carly Fiorina and Donald Trump. Both are running as Republican’s in the 2017 presidential election. Both candidates are doing well in the polls. Fiorina is second in the polls right behind Trump at first. Fiorina is a former business CEO of Hewlett-Packard. Trump is a real estate developer, TV star and a successful businessman. Where both candidates are Republican’s they will agree on some topic but will differ in the way they agree and the way they would handle each issue that America in facing as of now in the 21st century.…

Romney has a great plan to lower gas prices. A proposal was brought up while Obama was in office that would allow us to drill a oil line from Texas to Canada, and the thought is we have more oil in our country than our foreign distributors do. Romney knows we want to be the nation with resources left in the end. Using some of our own oil will put pressure on our foreign distributors and make them lower their oil price because they would not be selling nearly as much. President Obama turned this proposal down and does not support it.…

First and foremost, there are always two sides of every argument. As I have found out, there are also lies to both sides as well as the truth. One of those sides is how Republicans view their candidate, Mitt Romney. Ann McFeatters points out on an online blog saying, “He was an effective governor of Massachusetts. Although he vetoed hundreds of bills (most overridden by a Democratic-controlled legislature), he persuaded key Democrats to help him push through landmark legislation to give many more residents of Massachusetts health insurance.” She also made other interesting points, “He salvaged the Salt Lake City Olympics and raised enough money to keep the facilities at Park City, Utah, maintained for the training of hundreds of athletes for years to come.” Romney turned the 2002 Winter Olympics from financial corruption and drug abuse to an…

Two great inspirational political figures, hold audiences captive with their patriotism, leadership, and compassion speaking of our past, our present and our future. President Obama plays big brother with our youth, demanding they take responsibility for their education, embellishing that the future of our country depends on them. Sarah Palin in her Vice-Presidential speech, confronts her opponents questioning their partonism while stabbing at the heart and soul of every hard- working Blue Collared American who helped build this county. Obama and Palin both make powerful, effective speeches, empowering the audience to think about the future of the United States, and what they personally can do for this great nation, for the future is in their hands.…

To begin with Barack Obama whom is a member of the Democratic Party is likewise a republican as in some issues he believes in the principles of the republican government. Equally Mitt Romney who is a Republican Party member also holds some believes of the Democratic Party, as well as in the past being registered as a democrat. This point alone shows that the democrats and the republicans are not as different as most expect them to be and that in fact their views cross over on issues and members of both parties share views on issues such as gun control. “Obama agrees to an individual's right to bear arms, in principle, but does not take it as an absolute…

The future of the country and its citizens lies in the hands of two very qualified candidates. President Barack Obama and his opponent Mitt Romney have been debating for the past few weeks to convince voters far and wide as to why they would make the best, future president of the United States. Both candidates have extensive experience in leadership, and both have very different views of how to run the country. From abortion laws to taxes, each candidate’s opinion on where they stand will determine who is elected. It is up to the citizens of the United States to determine which candidate will take the most care in these issues as well as present change to the growing nation. Education is becoming expensive, and harder to achieve with so many budget cuts and lack of support from the federal government, preventing the youth of the nation from achieving knowledge and education to support the country in the future. The environment of the world is changing dramatically and fast; should there be laws in place to protect the future of the planet? Obama’s arguments focus around saving and protecting the earth, while Romney seems most focused on profit. With a slowly recovering economy many people are with out healthcare, and adequate means to afford healthcare. What is the best step for America to approach this situation? Obama and Romney both have valid and appropriate concerns for each of these topics, but which candidate shines through? The majority of the youth of America are liberal and stand for Obamas community based idealism, while Romney may have a hard time convincing youth that we should focus on foreign policy and higher tax rates that generally do not support the middle class.…
